Big Shout Out to RV Wholesalers and Forest River

My LazyBoy recliner, in my 2018 Windjammer, had issues 'closing' because the side arm splayed out. I contacted RV Wholesalers, about getting it taken care of under warranty. Very quickly, their Advocate dept emailed back, asking for photos, which I promptly sent. Just a day later, I rec'd an email that Forest River would ship a new recliner to me. I didn't want to get too excited, suspicious that 'it might not happen', but lo and behold, the NEW RECLINER was delivered today, and placed right next to my RV in its parking spot. (I had been asked if I needed them to hire a repair company to install the Recliner, but I was able to do it with the help of my husband) Thanks so much RV Wholesalers and Forest River for taking care of my issue so smoothly !!!

I am convinced a good dealer is far more important than the manufacturer. I'm glad to hear RV Wholesalers seem to fall in that category.

It is definitely good to hear that RV Wholesalers gets it done for their customers. I have never had to use the warranty on the 2017 Wildwood TT that we purchased from them, but hopefully if ever I do, it will have the same sort of ending.

Wow! Interesting. You got lucky.
Nice to hear a dealership took such quick action.
Speedy action from Forest River as well.
Wish all dealership and manufacturing companies would do the same.

I had the same "luck" with FR and RVW.

Glad u got help forest river wouldn’t even give me the time of day so I assumed all RV manufactures don’t help even while under warranty! I would never again own forest river! Fixed transfer switch myself and that was probably easy way to go! Just think losing a customer over 85.00 product I bought on line. Doesn’t make sense!

I also had the same 'luck'...2 minor parts needed during RVW warranty period (one caused by a tree branch during a storm). Using RVW as my advocate, I had no issues with getting the parts from Forest River.

Must ask --- Are all RV Wholesale Dealerships the same or only specific ones?

Never bought from them only locally for ease of warranty repairs.

LOL!!! (?????) :-)

Not sure!! The RV Wholesalers from which we purchased was in Ohio. We live in NC, but their pricing (and now service) won our business

There is only one RVW(RV Wholesalers), located in Lakeview, Ohio.
They and RV Direct(also known as RV One) were the first RV dealers with a strong internet sales model. They shook up the RV world, with their online marketing strategy.
In my opinion, they were instrumental in moving other dealers to change their policies on servicing RVs that they didn't sell.

So not sure what you mean by "are all RV Wholesale dealerships the same?"

Bikendan - I thought maybe there were RV Wholesalers dealership locations elsewhere besides Lakeview, Ohio, when I stated "Are they all the same or just certain ones." I appreciate your answer to my question.

Thank you for the information on RVW alternate names, RV Direct & RV One.

Thank you for the information on RVW alternate names, RV Direct & RV One.
RV Direct(aka RV One) does have multiple locations and if you're out West, you can pick up your rig in De Moines.
They also have 3 locations in Florida. I guess they officially changed their name to RV One, from the original DV Direct.

RVW does have a dealer network that will do warranty work for units sold by RVW.

I appreciate the added info on other locations besides Ohio. Florida and Iowa. Might check out Florida location(s) when I head south this April.
Thank you again for your response and information. Even better to know thay RVW has a dealer network that does warranty work. Makes it worth it.

Since joining this forum, I have found the individuals who frequent this site to be quite helpful and very knowledgeable. Thank you all!

I have some of the same experiences..... After 7 warranty issues in the first year ( way more than any other Mfg I have owned) it is all about the dealer and how handy you are.

A while ago I saw a post that noted "if you are not handy, don't own a RV" which is sooooo true.

My dealer was fantastic, I would call them (we are over 2 hours apart) and send some Pix and 2 days later I would have the parts.... even a set of 4 defective tire rims and a check to cover the cost to change the tires over.

They even admitted "They were the quality control, NOT the Mfg"...... really sad.

Last Forest River product I will own.

Again, sad.
