Brake lights and signals

Took my new trailer out for a practice run and later realized that my break lights are not working. Only driver side light is on. I am going to call the dealer tomorrow and report this.

I have two questions:

1. Is it work taking the trailer to the dealer or should I just replace the light (hoping that it is not an electrical issue).

2. Are the five lights at the very top of the back of a trailer supposed to light on? Do they function as a 3rd tail light? I ask because none of mine turned on.

By the way, I have a 26dbh.

If this trailer is still under warranty, it is probably best to take it back to the dealer unless you just have a bad bulb. Do your turn signals work? The red lights at the top of the trailer should be on when your tail lights are on. If these are not working either, it sounds like a wiring issue. I don't know your level of comfort with troubleshooting electrical problems, but if it is not under warranty, a little troubleshooting would probably be best before taking it to the dealer.
