building dump station

Sorry in advance if this has been covered, but couldn't find it. I am wanting to build a permanent dump station at my farm so we can camp by the pond for extended trips. Any suggestions on a DIY project?

You can buy a small septic tank, and put in your own drainfield, with a small backhoe or a bobcat, and some dirt. If you properly maintain it, you should not have any problems with your septic tank or pond. It really is a pretty simple procedure. I have a septic tank that I have been using for 28 years. Don't drive on the drainfield, and have the tank pumped out about every 5 years, depending on usage. Randy

All sorts of warnings should go off before you consider using these plans. One, I doubt if it is legal in most jurisdictions. If ANY of your ground water flows onto a neighboring property and you bootleg one of these you could be in a lot of trouble.

Do it legally, get a perk test and apply for a permit, doing so protects you and your neighbors.
