Bum resources for legal maximum towing speed?

For non commercial towing only:
In another post a site was linked that listed states allowing double towing, like a boat behind a 5er. The same site listed a LOT of good towing considerations, BUT it appears some items are incorrect. I think some other sites use this first site as a reference or vice versa. Such as Normandyfarms.com and doityourselfrv.com.
The site is nrcmod.com. It says that the max towing speed in PA is 55MPH.
AAA says it is is the posted speed limit, then goes on to to list 65MPH on rural interstates. I SUSPECT AAA wrote this a couple years ago before PA increased the rural interstate speed to 70MPH. Trailers.com also list PA for 65MPH.
I tried to find any PA law reference to towing less than the posted limit and cannot.

Doityourselfrv.com also says all trailers in PA must have brakes. Incorrect, GTWR 3000# or more require trailer brakes.

There's a bunch of old, outdated, and just plain wrong information out there about towing. A lot of commercial info gets assigned to recreational towing that doesn't apply.

Heck, most state DMV employees don't know the difference in laws between commercial and recreational vehicles.

There is no limit set for trailers towing vs cars in PA . There CAN be signs to limit the speeds in certain areas (like steep grades) but that is on a per location basis. Only two (well 3 if you count certain farm vehicles) instances where a vehicle can double tow in PA... All are for commercial only. #1 is by a tractor (which in PA speak means the tractor part of a tractor trailer), not a pickup or dump or anything else. #2 is a manufacture who makes trailers can tow two trailers for their tow away / driveaway operation behind a pickup or truck if they do not exceed 26,000lbs GCWR. The trailers need to be empty, cannot even have a box of brochures in them (no property in them at all).

Trailers over 3k need brakes and to be inspected. Under they are not required.

To add to the signs. Only the white and black signs are enforceable (look like a speed limit sign). They are regulatory so they can be enforced. It will say something like trucks of XXXXlbs or more speed limit XX. Yellow and black signs are advisory and not enforceable.

My observations are seldom does anyone towing or otherwise ever observe any posted speed limit.

The other non regulatory speed limit is the speed rating of your tires. Until you get to F or G rated tires the maximum they are rated for is 65 MPH. It is written on the sidewall of each and every ST tire.

Above that speed they overheat and it can lead to blowouts.

I normally start at 63mph and it’s not long before I get tired of all the other campers passing me and I speed up. My LT tires are rated for 75mph

Bottom line, many of these "information resources" are out of date for several years.

I'm happy to maintain 65MPH when towing on interstates with my current TV. My tires are marked 75MPH maximum speed.

Not all ST's are marked. My understanding is that "Unless marked otherwise, an ST is limited to 65 MPH." Both the original and the replacement tires I had on my TT were not marked at all, so I generally assumed they were rated for 65 MPH. On my fiver, they're stamped as 75 MPH.

Mine are rated at 88 miles an hour. If I drive it long enough on the highway I'll actually go back in time...

I could care less how many other vehicles pass me. When they start paying my fuel and repair bills I'll then worry about keeping up. I find that 60 mph in the slow lane works just fine and funny thing, I have plenty of company in that lane both in front and behind me.

We are all different, I just can’t stand to keep getting passed all the time. Bedsides my Silverado likes to be opened up occasionally.

I used to "open up my Titan" too. Then I found I was opening my wallet more often.

If you ever find yourself behind me and want to pass, just a quick flash of the lights and the road's yours. I figure I have the rest of my life to get wherever I'm going now.
