Cabela's sale - Got good deal on generator
Picked up a Champion 2000w inverter at Cabela's today. If you're a club member and you put it on your card, it'll give you $75 off over $500. It's good for another couple of weeks, I think. Bass Pro may have the same deal.
They also gave me the military discount on top of it, so I went ahead and got it. I think it was in store only.

For me, with both discounts, it was fairly comparable in price, and it has the fuel gauge. A lot of folks say it isn't worth it, but for the same price, I'll take it.
Plus, I get more Cabela's points.

BTW, the deal is good for anything in the store, except guns and ammo (I think that's what I was told).
I just used it for the generator. I figured I'd share the info.

There doesn't look to be a 30 amp receptacle. so if you run 2 in parallel how would this run A/C?

The parallel kit on most inverters has a 30 amp built into it.

That's Champion's newer 2000w inverter generator. It's over 2lbs lighter than the older one that Walmart has on sale.

You'd have to get a parallel kit:

There are 2 others you can use, but that one allows you to stack the generators, although I don't see the advantage to doing that.

I rather like the dual gen setup.
Easy being able to move the individual gens as they are under 50# ea.
Using both with the parallel kit allows me to run my 1500btu A/C in the 5er.
I made a simple wheeled (small casters) platform to set it all on to move it around if needed.

Nope, nothing needs to be disconnected, it takes 2 seconds to lift the top one off to gas up the lower one.

I bought the same new Champion inverter generator from Tractor Supply before Christmas. Good sale price, too. $380 pre tax.
No 2000 watt rated inverter generator comes with a 30TT jack except for the designated Honda Companion one designed specifically for paralleling with the Honda EI2000. Lots of parallel wiring kits available with and without a 30TT jack at varying price points.
