Cabinet question

About to see out first Sabre 5th wheel tomorrow. We just love them on paper but curious to see one for real. My Jayco dealer who also sell the Palamino Columbus and is trying to get us to buy a Jayco 5er (to replace our Jayco TT) is trying to convince me to do so by stating that the cabinet frames on the Columbus are paper wrapped and he imagines the Sabre is the same, where Jayco is solid wood. I know all you guys & gals love your Sabres and I am not saying that this is a deal killer as there are many amnneities on the Sabre we love, but can anyone confirm this paper stuff and if you have had any difficulty with it if it is true?

Thanks

My 2013 is real wood. At least the doors and frames are. I'm not sure about the shelves, I've never looked and probably won't. I love the 32RCTS. I looked at a Jayco 5'er, but I liked the Sabre better!

Thank you. It was the cabinet frames he was referring to as being paper wrapped. He agreed the doors are solid wood. I agree, really do not care about the shelves. We also are considering the 32RCTS. Sounds like you are quite happy with yours.

Never noticed, but never looked. I assume you'll have a real answer long before then - but if not, I'm bring the camper home this weekend to deal with my tire and I'll check then for you.

Our Sabre has real wood frames too. We had an '08 Jayco Eagle TT and were very happy with it, they do make a nice camper. We looked at the Eagle 5er with the L shaped couch in Feb '12. Don't remember the model # but this was before the Eagle Premier line. It was nice, but for the money we felt Sabre gave us alot more. Good luck with your decision, I don't think you can go wrong with either one.
