Cairo meeting was a fail - whew

Ambivalent to note that the Cairo meeting on Climate ended like all the previous ones with no meaningful agreement except that the rich nations owe the poor ones for messing up the climate and causing them natural disasters.

The $40B previously discussed as compensation (drop in the proverbial ocean but enough to fuel a lot of graft) was not mentioned nor were any of the other RV gotchas like nominating an end to the use of fossil fuels. There was also a possible loop hole opened up whereby Natural Gas could be declared "green" and exploited with more gusto world wide particularly in Africa.

Not that these annual boon doggles are going to cease but at least diesel lives to fight for another couple of decades.

Shouldn’t this be an OFF TOPIC thread, as opposed to Dynamax thread?

The Dynamax forum seems to operate as an independant closed discussion area. Topics that would apply to any MBS chassis, for example, or say, to a satellite service, or even a generic power cable dogbone, could be moved to an appropriate general forum. But, if it originates in Dynamax, moderators usually leave it in Dynamax.

As for the unmeaningful action results of the climate meeting, as with past attempts to address our self made existential threat, sadly, it illustrates the weakness in human nature that will eventually do us all in.

Intended to address diesel shortage paranoia that could impact Dynamax products rather than the master or general community.

Diesel shortage paranoia can impact MBS based class C's, diesel pusher class As, diesel pickups pulling trailers, etc. Dynamax doesn't have a monopoly on diesel engines in Forest River products or the general RV world. It would seem to be a general interest topic, but the moderators can decide how they want to organize the forum.

Any real proof of this change you speak of? Any recent storms are smaller than ones 80+ years ago. These same alarmist's said we'd all be under water by year 2000 so consider me skeptical.

Geez and I got chastised for responding to the wrong post once. This one is way off base.

President Biden faced swift backlash after promising up to $1 billion for "climate reparations" for poor countries that have suffered damages due to the use of fossil fuels.

China, however, was deemed a "developing nation" and is not required to contribute funds, despite being the world’s top polluter and having one of the largest economies.
I don't agree with any of it. However, the part highlighted above is what really upsets me. (because that is the only way I can say how I feel without getting booted.)

Do you wait to see proof that smoking cigarettes is actually killing you, before you quit, even if evidence is clear, unambiguous, and unequivocal? Or do you just wait until you die, and there is your proof?

There are kids throwing paint at cars and paintings in museums, and they are charging carbon tax among a million other costly measures. Yeah, you bet there better be some proof. I knew it was a grift when then changed it from global warming to climate change, now they have freedom to blame any weather on it. (even when it was worse 100 years ago)
