Camco insert molding shrunk

I bought 100' rolled and replaced them in the summer. I just notice most edges have shrunk about 1" inch. I am in southern California.

Is this common with my issue?

thanks,
tntrac

I replaced them on my old camper and they did the same thing. My camper was kept out in the open and I believe it was the exposure to the sun and heat that shrunk them.

Thanks for the reply. It just 4 months. No wonder when I bought the trailer used last summer, some edges were like 4 inches short. I was like dam, whoever replaced them cut way off.....

I didn't initially replace them because of shrinkage. The original ones were white and were susceptable to mildew and staining. I replaced them with black ones which matched the camper realy well and those are the ones that shrunk.
