You are right. We have not camped once this year. Heading out on a nine day vacation in July, though. Enjoy your time out camping!

Ah, I can guess where. Big money in your future with the repair. Sorry to hear that.
Safe travels....

At least I earn sky miles with my credit card. We're in site 28 at Coles Creek.

Coles Creek is on my list. I'm gonna take some time off and see it in the middle of the week.

So as we were setting up camp yesterday I had issues trying to figure out how to connect to the campground water. I hooked our hose up to the threaded connector but when I turned on the water it poured out a brass fitting just behind the hose connection, not a drop was going into our water hose. The brass fitting would turn but would neither tighten nor loosen. I was about to find the campground host when my camping neighbor came over and showed me you had to pull down on the brass fitting to divert the water into the hose. He told me he had to have someone show him how the faucet worked too.
My wife and I have been RVing for 14 years and have never seen a connection like this. We have camped at this campground many times in the past but this was the first time for this year. Apparently the COE replaced all the water connections at this campground over the winter. Here’s a picture of the faucet with water coming out of the brass fitting.

I don’t know why my first photo doesn’t show up so I’ll post it again. This is the view from the back of our campsite.

They have had some "Harsh" weather if that Woodford hydrant was installed over the winter! Did you use my 3/4 wrench to tighten it? The one from Goshen! Youroo!!

Thanks for that info. As I mentioned, I've never encountered these before.

My very first trip, I encountered this type at the fresh water fill at a local SP. I was stumped. I went and setup and returned 5 times with a 7gal water jug to fill my fresh water tank. It sucked to say the least. CG host told me how to do it later. My next trip, I was ready, but someone used a wire tie to keep it in the open position. Lesson learned... btw let it run free for a bit before using it.

Oakman: What type of chairs are those behind your camper? Looks like they could be carried like a backpack.

The chairs are made by a company named Renetto. They fold up and have straps so you can carry them like a backpack. As you can see they also have a canopy which makes these perfect for the beach.
