Here is a good one, one CG we just stayed at, we left to go hiking and have to pack up c-class to drive ( no toad) left behind fire wood and dog leash under outside table came back to find everything gone! Went in to office, which was only 40 feet away from site, while walking 40ft saw CG's owners dog tied to my leash, asked owner if she had seen who took my stuff, you should have seen the look on her face! Just been caught red handed!! she even knew we booked for two nights, she tried to brush it off saying grounds keeper didn't know we were staying two nights. She untied her dog handed back leash saying she only borrowed it and will have wood returned . Guy who brought wood was grounds keeper didn't even say a word just dropped wood and left. The look on her face said it all , I just got caught taking stuff!!

We're headed out this PM for a park in TX where most of the sites are lakeside. Most sites have a deck out over the slope down to the water. This time we're in a pull through double site, double length deck, RVs go in nose to tail. Our "family of choice" is already there with theirs set up. They pulled in, we'll back in.

Good thing is, with most of the sites facing the water, with decks, there's very little cutting through.

I feel silly getting this excited but HEY, we haven't been out since Memorial Day!

All that's needed now is for Sneak to sneak out of work early, throw his clothes in and "hook n book"! ( there's a repo company here by that name)

They should lock that couple up. JMO.

YES I AM Mr. Cheatwood, YES I AM! Just told OC that I feel like I did when we were kids and Mom/Dad took us on a road trip tent camping for two weeks every year, all of the lower 48 except CA and NY. Mom would get out the Sears and Roebuck catalog a month before and order all new clothes for the trip...peddle pushers for us girls, jeans for my brother, etc.

NONE of us kids would sleep the night before leaving.

And in a month from now we're going to NC! By the time we're ready to leave for that one I'll be needin' valium!

: anim_snoopy:

Mom, God rest her soul, wanted to stop at EVERY rock shop! LOL We girls still have some of those "what a pretty rock....errrr melted glass" souvenirs she wagged home. That fake-wood-grained station wagon would be squattin' from all the "rocks" she brought back.

Lake of the Pines COE....HUGE lake and dam/spillway.

It's just outside Jefferson, TX. Not too far over the LA/TX line.

I've got pics, lemme see if I can fine some. Last time we were there we still had the V-Lite.

We've had kids and an adult once walk through our site right under our awning while I was outside. I stopped them and told them not to cut through. I just got a stupid look.

I feel silly getting this excited but HEY, we haven't been out since Memorial Day!

You remind me of the Disney commercial "I'm to excited to sleep"

I'm just waiting for DH to call so I can leave work and go camping, I wish he would call I'm ready to go NOW

GORGEOUS Sunset Weezer!! nice looking CG - we will have to investigate!

iPhone tech support at your service Ma'am!
  1. In your "Photos" app, select the photo that needs to be rotated.
  2. Tap the edit button in the upper right corner.
  3. Now, tap the square with a arrow arching over it in the lower left corner until the picture is rotated correctly.
  4. Tap save in the upper right corner.
  5. Done!
I now return this temporarly hijacked thread back to camping ettiquette with this tip:

We put so much junk (Flamingos, lights, bug zapper, BBQ) out that our camp is a trip hazard (I call them drunk traps) keeps the passer-throughs away

It's the dogs! Why do the smallest dogs make the most noise? It was the redneck rendezvous across from us last weekend. 4 tents with a giant silver tarp covering them all (cause it rains every time I go camping) 2 Dodge mini vans, neither with a working exhaust, and one small cute little dog that yipped at everything that moved. Nobody tried to sush it, they all just ignored it...except for my neighbor who yelled out and 7AM "Shut that F#$%^&*G Dog up before I do it!" At that point I just laughed and had morning nookie with DW, we were up anyway so I guess it wasn't all that bad. Come to think of it, I hope we have a small yippie dog across from us next weekend!

Oh and my answer to the singing...Just sing louder and worse than they do. It's actually kinda fun. Don't get mad, get evener!

<cannot abide a yipper! big or small

And it always seems the owners of the yipper/yapper are stone deaf! Grrrrrr!

Our Fred (pom/doxy mix) is too darned lazy to bark. When he *does* bark...it's a growl/woof and we know: CHECK what he's working up the energy to bark at, it ain't gonna be good!

I need a phone ring tone of a YIPPING DOG. When the neighbor campers' dog starts yippin, I'll just get Sneak to call my phone over and over and over. Maybe hide my phone out under their bedroom around 3 AM.

Or get one of those crippled rabbit calls. LOL, you folks from "down here" will know what I'm talkin' 'bout. (evil grin)
