Are any of you members of Camping World's Presidents Club? Do you think it is worth it? They are having a good sale with $9 shipping til sunday.

I've been a member just about forever. My gut feeling is that the PC prices are not always the lowest, but they are not too bad if you look for sale items plus shipping deals. Mainly I like dealing with CW because of the wide range of products and consistent service and shipping. Is the PC worth it? I think so, if you are a consistent customer.

We were members when we needed a large number of items. Weigh the membership costs with how much you need to buy. Traveling up to Detroit will save you shipping. I have recently found whatever I need on Amazon.com and can almost always get free shipping there with lower prices than CW.

For the $9 fee, it would be worth it. We have been members for a while and you won't have to buy too much to recoup that. Best if you can get to their actual store to save on the shipping. That's where they really get you.

I have found their prices to be VERY high, even with the "Club" price.

Example: A Curt 2" receiver for a TT bumper $79.00, the same product available at E-trailer for $63.00.

Here is a weird thing, I got a letter from them today. I get a Presidents Club membership for 12 bucks, and two free sport watches. I signed up today and should be able to use it before the sale ends sunday.

It is worth it so far for us. I don't buy a lot there but enough to pay for the PC dues. We have only been doing the RV thing for a little over a year so we obviously haven't purchased every gizzmo or gadget we need. We are fortunate in that we have a CW fairly close by. Yes, you can generally find it cheaper on the internet, but if you need it and they are close by you don't have to wait for the item to be shipped.

I joined on my first trip and then regretted it as I drove off after doing the math. However, after a few trips the membership paid for itself.

It's nice to shop in a one-store place rather than going from store to store when searching for several items. Surprising tCW sells the same shower mat cheaper than Walmart because nothing else at CW is cheaper.

Camping World

They have a great selection and lots of ideas in their catalogs but Walmart and many on line dealers can beat them. For example, I got a hitch for our toad for about half what Camping World was asking, along with free shipping this last spring.

placed my first order with them over the weekend, ordered a Rhino sewer system, level's to put on the TT, and Globe multi color lights for the awning. Could not pass on the special membership and shipping rate.

Just received a new catalog in the mail today and already found several items I want. LOL - I thought my money was safe since I'm doing my best to stay out of the store.

We have one and it has been worth it. I got my new air bags $100 cheaper then anybody else would sell them to me for. We have a store about 40 minutes away so I don't ever have to pay shipping on anything, they just order it from the warehouse and call me when it comes in.

On a side note, from my personal experience, I wouldn't recommend the service department to anybody! But it may just be the people that work in our store. If you have a GCR Truck Tire center near you I would recommend using them instead.

The Camping World in the Denver area has this incredible salesperson that seems to have an extensive knowledge about all things! It is amusing to see the line of people 5,6 or more snaking around the store following this guy, each waiting for their turn to ask their all important questions....heck, if you follow along, you can learn a multitude of things about all sorts of stuff related to camping and RVing. Having a guy like that is worth the membership fee. He says," here is the top of the line product, it does this and this. Here is the low end, it will do this and this, I prefer this product for the money, it does this and this." so you really get all the options and he tells you how to use it, how to hook it up and what to watch for etc. etc.

I find their prices on everything too high. By shopping around, I have
always found a better price. I went to their store in Northern Illinois & could not believe the high prices. Amazon is the place to go.

Decent prices and good selection.

When I was a tad younger the Victoria Secret catalog meant for an exciting week, today it's Camping World catalogs that do it for me....
