Can you say DUMB!
Ok I enjoy making a fool of myself at times. So now is your chance to laugh at my expense.
Today at 5:00 CST I officially went on vacation until the 18th. I had planned for weeks that I would pull the trailer out and CLEAN everything starting on the roof.
I then unplugged the trailer opened the gate and pulled her out. Closed the gate, opened the slide and attempted to turn the air on.
Well the air did not work. I only got a click and no fan just a click.
So I used every bad word I have ever known, Read the papers on the unit, Traced all of the dead wires and got on the net looking for a solution. After two hours of cussing and reading and searching I was back on top of the trailer testing the capacitors on the unit.
Then all of a sudden it hit me like a brick in the head!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The air might work If I plugged the trailer back in!!!!
So I plugged the trailer up and all is well.
So go ahead and laugh
Yep I did it and now I have the cleanest 2004 air conditioner out there!
LOL

I would take you up on the offer to have a laugh, but frankly I've been there a few times myself. the only good thing about it is that the "boy I'm an idiot' feeling is slightly better than the "boy I'm broke" feeling that you could be experiencing!

Reminds me of my newbie DOH moment. I was toying with the thermostat when the AC quit working during a trip, toyed around with it, pulled the inside cover off, traced the clicking sound to a source but no-go. Got it home, took it to the dealer. Dealer plugged power in, opened the breaker box cover and reset the breaker & the unit fired up.
DOH!!!!

Ummm it wasn't you who welded drag wheels on your rear bumper a while ago was it? I seem to recall a pic of the melted sewer hose that was inside the bumper at the time. The word dumb reminded me of it! hehee
