Agree with Albertaism:
"The bigger question is why would someone potentially place additional burden on an already overloaded healthcare system simply to stay a bit warmer?

Stay home and stay safe. Winter sucks but getting COVID-19 is way worse"

Camping is not an essential unless you're homeless.
With the new vaccines coming out, it's a matter of patience on everyone's part to get this awful virus under control. Hopefully in the latter part of '21 we'll be in better shape!
Thanks, Chinese gov't for poisoning eveyone...

Loophole?

Our elected governments have closed the border to help protect all of us. Go ahead, be clever, and ship your RV. Good luck with your health care, and that of
those around you.

I agree. This pandemic is no joke. Anyone who violates the spirit of the border closures and State-Province mandates deserves whatever they get. There was a news story yesterday of a young American lady who was recently sentenced to 4 months in a "general population" jail in one of the Caribbean Islands for violating their Covid rules.

I saw that same news story. Cayman Islands. She had no intention of quarantining for 14 days before going to see her boyfriend in some jet-ski competition.
Another example of why we’re in the mess we are.

Jail time, that is good to see. Now she can quarantine for 4 months instead of 14 days. All countries should do the same to Covid violators, no exceptions.

This was brought to my attention so I will clarify. My daughter told me the province of Ontario is on full lock down. She said even more strict lock down rules went into affect today.

We're in a Campground in South Florida. There are 3 Quebec RV's here. One paid $2000, another paid $1000 and another paid $450 to have RV or just their car shipped to Plattsburgh. I also heard their Health Insurance that they buy for the US went from $1800 for 2 - to $2800 for 2. I have no idea how it works going back to Quebec.

The province of Ontario goes into full lock down on Dec 26. There is a difference between northern Ontario and southern Ontario in the lock down. As for checking those who have to quarantine, the powers that be make phone calls to the person anytime and those under quarantine may also get a visit at anytime to make sure those under quarantine are where they are supposed to be. Quarantine will be necessary my friend,

Their are several Canadians down hete in our park in Vero Beach, Fl. It cost them $1000 to ship the truck and 5th wheel across the boarder, then fly across, another $300 each. Same thing going back.

They can drive back into Canada themselves. The Canadian border is closed to Americans, not Canadians.

I like going south for the winter too.
This.
I was actually at PBG when this was going on. Group of truckers were waiting in the fbo for a kingair to land. The kingair drops off the rv’ers, and picks up the truckers, and all the rigs are parked outside.

Absolutely stupid loophole.

Edit to add: I fly an ambulance, a flying ICU. I don’t remember the patient at the time, but it could easily have been an intubated C19 patient. Completely infuriating to me how so many, many, people think it is still a hoax, a nothing, a almost zero percent chance of me getting sick sorta hoax. There are PLENTY of folks who were perfectly healthy and relatively young, saying their potential goodbyes before going on a vent. Are these shenanigans really worth it? The rv’ers were likely headed to Florida, where the numbers are very problematic.

Kinda hate acronyms.

PBG=?
fbo=?

I guess a kingair is a type of aircraft?

FBO is the terminal, and PBG is Plattsburgh. Sorry.

What’s so hard about understanding acronyms? Just look them up on Google like I just did. The answers are right there and should have been obvious to you in the first place. Here’s what I found:

PBG=Peanut Butter Gamer
fbo=Full Bolt Ons, Facebook Official, Full Body Orgasm, Fine Bit**es Only

Friends of mine here in Florida are from Canada. They paid $2000 to have their pickup truck shipped 25 miles from Hamilton, Ontario to Buffalo NY airport. They then flew by helicopter over Niagra falls to the airport and then drove down to Florida. Sounds like they should have shopped around.
They store their fiver down here.

Or used the money to buy some common sense
