Cape cod ideas??

Looking for campground ideas at the cape. We are in a 5th wheel and want full hookups. I've noticed the campgrounds don't have pools which I can guess it's because everyone want the ocean. I personally would rather the pool. Any way I know nothing about the cape and we are traveling with 10 year old twins who id like to keep busy.

I called the koa but I think that's too far from the cape to make it enjoyable. Was wondering if any one had some ideas.

Thanks!
Andy

Peters Pond, Bourne Scenic Park, Pinewood Lodge. I'm down the street from KOA, you'd be about 30 minutes from the canal. Great time to visit!

Bourne Scenic Park. My grandparents have been camping there for 50 years and my best memories are there. Making the drive from Texas for Fathers Day weekend.

Atlantic Oaks and it's sister Shady Knoll are awesome. Another is Sweetwater Forest. They have a kennel if you don't want pooch to be locked up all day while you're swimming, site seeing, whale watching, or just general caping. AB is nice (and they allow camp fires)...see ya there over the 4th

Also, there are only two bridges over the canal to the cape. So plan your travel around the rush hour times. Which in the summer seems to be all day. On the weekends try to hit the bridges around 6AM. Campgrounds tend to checkout around noon. So, see if you can get a later checkout or make day plans so you're not caught in the traffic trying to get off the cape.

VA Beach gets you the Historic triangle, Williamsburg, Bush Gardens, etc. We try to make that run every 2-3 years.

Bourne scenic park is great. They have pools and are right on the canal. My 9 year old loves it. Also Bayview campground is also very nice we fall frolic there. They also have pools. Good luck!
