Cedar Creek TV and Fireplace Issues in our new 2018 Cedar Creek 34RL2.
One month into our maiden voyage, we are absolutely in love with our new RV! Only a couple of things.... During the first week our electric fireplace started getting an E3 error. We turn it off and back on, and it works for a while, then goes off again. Then, two nights ago our 55” Jenson TV screen went black...has audio, but no video. Actually, I am able to see a picture on the screen if I shine a flashlight on it, so it’s there just dark. We have contacted our dealer but nothing from them yet. Just checking to see if anyone else has had either of these issues. Happy travels!

did you get a stack of owner's manuals? that would be a good start for the fireplace. Hope your not shopping for a new tv. Are those even covered under the warranty?

A huge stack of manuals, but unfortunately not for the TV.... I sure hope it is covered! We were told that it was built to withstand the earthquake like movement during travel. The only thing we learned about the fireplace is that the code means it is overheating so the heat element turns off. Turn it off then back on resets it but doesn’t resolve the issue.

if you hold a flashlight to the screen and see movement and images then the backlight has failed. One option is to go into settings and reset all to the defaults. If that does not work than you may have to replace the broken one and that is best done by a knowledgeable repairman.

There actually are no "RV built TV's". RV manufacturers simply use the cheapest TV set they can buy, that's why you don't see a Sony, Samsung, LG or any other top tear brand in any RV's. Your TV is not worth repairing and should have a 12 month mfg'ers warranty so dealer should replace.
Your fireplace "overheating " shut off issue is fairly common and it is a defect that needs to be repaired or replaced by dealer.

Our Jenson TV suddenly had a 1 inch grey bar right thru the center of the screen 2 months after we bought the trailer. It was replaced under warranty. When it goes again we will be installing a Samsung.

Since you obviously have access to the internet, do a google search for your TV make, model number and "Users Manual".
It may have the answer in the "Troubleshooting" section

Forrest River App
You can download the Jensen manuals in the forest river app. Download all your user manuals if you know the model numbers.

Our 2016 Cardinal 3450RL came with an LG TV over the fireplace, not sure how many others may have come that way.

Try pulling the fireplace out about 4". You will notice a definite difference in the sound of the fan motor and should get more heat. I don’t think these units were designed to be mounted in a cabinet, especially when there is really no place for them to pull in room air. Least that’s how it is with ours.

Better check how the breaker is wired. Found my Cedar Creek breaker panel in bedroom was mislabeled so when fireplace tripped it caused refrigerator to go off too. These camper units are not wired per NEC since this industry is very unregulated and manufacturers have soul discretion of how they are built.

IMHO you better document and stay on top of that dealer. It is likely both the fireplace and TV will need replacing. Contact Cedar Creek directly for help. We got a dishwasher that would not start and were finally sent a new dishwasher. You only have a year to get it straightened out under warranty.

We will stay on it! We heard from Jensen this week. They said they will fix or replace under the warranty.... We just have to find the best location to get that done since we are on the road.
