Cherokee Alpha Wolf - Bug holes in cabinetry

We recently purchased an Alpha Wolf sight unseen. When we picked it up from the dealer we noticed that the cabinetry had bug holes in it. When we asked the dealer if the cabinets were made from bug kill wood or if the unit had termites we were told that it was just the style and design of the wood. Has anyone else encountered this issue?

Are you sure those are bug holes? it looks more like nail holes to me because of the exact spacing of the holes might have been wood from other parts reused. In any case they should not be there. A PDI would have caught this. JMHO

It's the design. A PDI would have caught that it's normal

Woodworm holes caused by wood boring beetles likely before the cabinets were made. Some people find this a desirable defect in old furniture and there are techniques to create these in faux antiques. Watch for sawdust near the holes but these were probably made before the wood was kiln dried. Heat kills the larvae.

The cabinets look like ambrosia (wormy) maple. As stated above, no problem unless you start seeing little piles of wood dust.

Its part of the "charm" of the "Wolf" line of campers, by design. Our Arctic Wolf has the same thing all over all of the cabinetry in the camper. I think it looks cool.
