Coleman Mach Digital Thermometer

We are looking for more precise control of the AC and heat, and are considering changing the t-stat. Has anyone changed to a digital t-stat, specifically for the Coleman Mach AC, NON HEAT PUMP?

Did it to the last 2 trailers...easy simple job and the new digital one fits perfectly where the analog one was, holes line up. It is far more accurate. The digital one has a 1 degree variance whereas the anolog one is 3 or 4...I would recommend the upgrade 100%...best price I found both times was on Amazon.

I've replaced the old analog thermostat with a digital in my last 2 trailers. Current one is a Coleman Mach AC. I think the previous one was a Dometic AC.

First time I installed a Hunter t-stat and it quit within a year. Switched to Honeywell digital t-stats and haven't had any issues.

Make sure you get a t-stat capable of being operated on an internal battery (usually AAs or AAAs).

It's a very easy mod.

Like itat we've done it on our last two trailers. I think the Coleman Mach Digital would be the easiest swap; we went with an aftermarket thermostat. I suggest you unplug the trailer and disconnect the battery before making the switch.

Our write up: Mods - Digital thermostat
