Commercial Insurance

I have a friend who is having a camper built that will be used for selling snow cones and such out of....she and her son are going in business for themselves...they have ordered the camper but need to get insurance...because it's going to be used for commercial business nobody will insure her camper.

Anyone have any suggestions where she can get insurance...the camper is going to cost almost $40,000 but the finance company is asking for her insurance and now she can't find insurance.

Thanks

David

Try an insurance broker instead of a company agent. When I had my handyman business the big companies wouldn't touch a new business. AAA was able to find one

She may be on a long road here. Depending on the size of the rig, if she's declaring it commercial, she'll need CDL's and a motor carrier number on the state or federal level. I'm curious if the insurance issues are over the vehicle, or improper licensing to operate it.

I would call Arthur j Gallagher in Houston. They can probably find something for her in their small business programs.
