Poorly applied, easily removed VIN decals and stickers in the RV industry is one of my pet peeves. Unlike cars and trucks, there is no standardized VIN locations or methods to apply one.
Thieves love cargo trailers, once they peel off the VIN decal, identifying a stolen one becomes very difficult.
Yep, stamping a VIN into the tongue is a step in the right direction but not all manufacturers do this.
Yes, there are some hidden secondary VIN's on RV's and trailers.
I doubt any RV manufacturer will honor a request for a duplicate VIN decal for obvious reasons.
