cover with a tarp?

I've heard not to use a plastic tarp to cover the TT and I have an ADCO cover for the winter. But in between trips its parked at home and under the trees. I want to just cover the roof while the leaves and acorns are falling and not put the full winter cover on. Is there a problem using a tarp for this?

I think if you cover with a breathable tarp, you should be ok. Vinyl tarps cause condensation and thus possibly mold and such. MHO
