Dealer Damage

So, I dropped my TT off at the dealership for a repair and they damaged the siding on it. Frustrating and heartbreaking for us, as its our first RV. Anyone have any experience/tips of something similar? We bought it new. Thanks.

When we had our Crusader, we took it to a local dealer for a slide issue. While there, they put a hole in the roof and damaged the awning. When we picked it up, we had an entirely new roof nd a new awning in addition to the slide repaired. All we were charged for was the slide. Hopefully you have a good dealer as we did.

Most dealers are going to tell you that they have a sign that says not responsible for damage to RV while at their facility. Although that may have some merit for accidental damage say from a falling branch, it does not protect them from damage caused by their negligence. The dealer should cover the repair.

Co-worker had a similar situation last season while his 5ver was in for warranty work. Someone backed into the front of the trailer...or hit it with a forklift while on the lot and cracked a hole in the cap. Service manager looked at it and said "yeah, this happens sometimes." The manger proceeded to call the company next to the dealership that works on semi truck fiberglass repairs and made arrangement for the trailer to be moved there upon completion of the warranty work. Took about week to repair and looks great. Didn't cost my co-worker a penny.
