Deterent?

So I have not seen any mice this summer around the camper. I wonder why? Of course maybe when it gets colder. The snakeskin wrapped around the axle too.

Yes indeed. I made an owl box too last year but so far no owl has found it!

Yayy for snakes. We love ours and have many living here. Mice are scarce. So are rats.

I think the snake skin would make a thief think twice about entering the trailer.

Even a sign on the side that said, "Beware of pet snakes" could help. Or, "In case of fire, please rescue my snakes."

every time i see a snake near and RV I am reminded of a few years back i was driving across Florida on I-10 and passing a small van conversion camper, much like a rialta. as i approached to pass i kept seeing a snake sticking its head out of the what looked like the fresh air intake for the heater.
I slowed down to get a good look. all i had with me was a pen and notepad so i scribbled a quick note like SNAKE , hanging out of your RV.
but the driver refused to look at me as i rode next to him
I have to wonder what happened later that day when he stopped for the night.

That's too funny.

I don't mind seeing the skin from what is most probably a black snake but we have quite a few timber rattlers around too! And they are really big and scary...

I had a helper years ago. We stopped working for lunch and took his car to the local sub shop. While we're driving down the road this black snake comes out from under my seat. Startled would be a big understatement. He laughed and said he saw it on the edge of the driveway where we were working so he threw it in the car. His reason was to help with the mice problem in his barn. It would have been nice to have known it was in there. It's hard to get your legs up on a seat while wearing a seat belt and yelling "HOLY $hi@"

I've had woman who refused to look at me when I was trying to get their attention because their dress was hanging out the door going down the highway.

Personally I hate snakes, ALL snakes, fat ones skinny ones, short ones, long ones, etc. you get the idea. The rule is normally I relocate the black ones unless they are to close to the house then they get the death penalty. This picture is of the ones I found under a brush pile to close to the house. The large one and at aleast two of the small ones are Copperheads, the grayish colored ones are probably black snakes[/IMG]
