Where do Travel Trailers usually specify this? On the trailer's load sticker? In the owner's manual? I'm just trying to learn from whence cometh the generality.

So where do you folks stand on the max posted tow speed limit of 55? I ran across this in southern OR, possibly NorCal and I believe coming across the I-15 stretch from Vegas into SoCal.

The few times I have RV’ed in CA, I observed very few towing folks observing the 55 limit. Most seemed to keep up with traffic flow. I did.

Not specifically "on" the TT Dan, but stamped into the sidewall of the tires.

My bad. I missed the word “tires” in the first sentence.

i have never seen a "max" speed marking on any of our trailers or trailer tires; utility to TT to our gooseneck stock trailers, none came with marked tires saying a max speed.
and as for the 55 speed limit while towing, outside of the uhaul rental flat beds i have never even seen such a thing on the east coast, have also always been taught/told that as long as it is physically safe keep pace with traffic unless you have to go slower and then keep right and pop your hazards if you have to go more than 10 mph below the speed limit, if you don't then you can get a ticket for unsafe driving and obstructing traffic.

All automotive tires has a speed rating, that is printed on both sides.

It will actually be a speed rating code, like in passenger/truck tires. You will need to decipher the speed/load rating code with a chart like this below. I took a few sidewall pics of some ST tires we have in stock that shows the speed/load rating codes on the sidewalls. This has been standard for several years now. A Carlisle brand HD trailer tire actually has the speed itself molded on the sidewall.
The two tires below have a L and M speed rating.

our little utility 6x4 powersports trailer that has the smallest/lightest tires has a p speed rating so 93mph
the utility 8x6 box is r and the goosedneck is q, the box is 10 ply and the gooseneck is 12 ply
and don't remember what rating is on the 232 esp but they are off-road truck tires so i'd imagine something in the area of a s or t rating and are 10 ply, e load
that and those ratings are not absolute maximums depending on driving conditions and carried load
