I have had two names for my trailer. I first called it "Trailer". But when I would say I'm taking Trailer out to Wyoming or some such place people would correct my English and say don't you mean the "the trailer". So I renamed it "The Trailer" now no more issues.

I named our 21FBRS 'Escape Pod". We use it to escape from the Rat Race that we all live in these days.

No.
It's an item, not a person.
I know, I know ... some have a name for everything they own, even their kitchen table, each chair, each rug.......but can't call their kids by their given name.

I DID think of that - only I spelled it a little differently ==> the trailer.

Naming a new pet is hard enough. We won't go out of our way to name the new 5th wheel, but if something in passing sticks we'll go with it. While off roading my daughter said look at that Filthy Beast. The jeep has been Filthy Beast since.
Helps that one of my favorite movies has the line "Goody Two Shoes and the Filthy Beast?" Cary Grant is the filthy beast.
and my HAM license is W4TFB, Whiskey 4 The filthy Beast.

Have never ever done that to anything I've had that doesn't eat.

Yep, Becky has to name almost everything.
The truck is "Jack", and the camper is "Diane".

I named my Forester 2401 "Mr. Gump"--- Forester Gump.
My bro's 5er is "Mr. Korman"--- RV Korman.
Calling an RV by their first name is considered disrespectful in certain circles.
