If you like decorating that is the place to be. My kiddo loves to go around and see all of it.

Heh, so true! The site on 1600 (I think) has a walking path around their RV. They’ve got some cool stuff, though. We walked and talked with them while they were still setting up last week.

The site on the 900 loop has a neat setup too.

We were there two Christmas's ago in 2016. Probably the same folks. 1600 loop toward the left and they had so much stuff, they had a walking path through their site.

Must be nice....

I’m at a Magic Kingdom with DW, DW is a tag turner. DW goes in every gift shop at Disney and turns the tag on all the merchandise in the gift shop. DW doesn’t buy anything, just turns the tag

Better than turning the tag and then pulling out the plastic card!

I do all the driving, all the planning, all the reservations, DW handles the funds. We had a great time at Fort Wilderness, can’t wait to go back, probably won’t go in the parks. Next time for sure to rent a golf cart

just stopped in the fort last week when we were at Wilderness Lodge. Boy we missed it, and planned on going back this august (our annual trip) but ended up cancelling for VA beach and Gatlinburg this week. Well miss it, but man o man...the prices are getting CRAZY! our annual pass is over 2k USD, and a turkey leg was 13.00! 10-12 dollar beers in Epcot!

call me cheap or old, but yikes. I'm thinking about selling the DVC! This thanksgiving week was the busiest I've ever been to the parks and I've been there for Xmas/New years and March Break in the past!

I had a good time at the Fort but things were high, I looked at a 6 pack of Bud Light, $16.50. With that being said the people beside us were staying for three weeks and thought nothing of it. I talked to another man on the bus and they were staying a month, he told me it was only a little more than what they normally paid outside the park. Don’t get me wrong it’s a great place to stay at.

Agreed it’s a great place to stay. And I’ve also stayed multiple weeks at a time. The campground itself is reasonable in my opinion. Just the ticket prices and concessions I really noticed increasing since I was there in August.

Yes, the prices are going up but attendance continues to rise. Disney will continue to increase things as long as the crowds continue. With the opening of new areas and attractions in next year it will probably only get worse. I will still go and enjoy but it does make it harder for some.
We make a Walmart run for supplies when there. It is only a few minutes away in Kissimmee. Cuts down on some of the cost.

My kids didn't want to go to the parks this year...
They were just fine playing with friends and staying at the campground.
I can't complain, it worked better for me specially after I had to change the 4 tires due to the blowout on I4 on my way tho Fort Wilderness.

Very true. I’ll go back when star wars opens. With our DVC membership it’s possible we’re are just disney’d Out. Lol. We did universal for the first time last year and enjoyed it now that our daughter is approaching the teens.

Definitely a good point on Walmart. We always do that when camping. Or Costco on our way down from Canada. When we stay on Disney property we fly and take advantage of the magical express. So no cheap easy way to get groceries. Even garden grocer is super expensive. And we needed a us addressed Visa card to order Walmart groceries for delivery.

Great on hanging around in The campground. We are getting more and more like that!

Too bad about the tires. That I4 is the worst leg of the drive. I came in off 75 this year. Way better than 95/I4. But added a little time to the trip. Worth every minute.

did you take 90, 271,71, to the 75?

we went down this year again for a family trip no trailer and went 90, 79, 19,77, 26,95

I found it a hard drive and thought not sure i would want to take the trailer that way. is 75 an easier drive?

we are looking at going to the fort next year hopefully
