You have to drive about a mile off-Disney property to pickup a cart. But the cost is amazingly less to make it worth the 1 hour round trip (go there, get trailer, drive back, dump cart, return trailer).
PM for who we use. We’ve never not gotten a cart and have been there at all times of the year.

I have checked with almost all of them for Turkey week nobody has any thing. Kenny normally always does. We do have a cart but sometimes its easier to rent. But we are bringing ours this trip. Its going to be a busy week on any Disney property.

Ohh, Kenny is my source. That's tough. Thanksgiving is such a busy time to go. We roll out of there and over to Tropical Palms just before it gets too nutty.

Yea Kenny took good care of us last time. The Dw is going to drive separately in a u haul p/u and I'm gonna load ours in it. I'd rather rock my cart any way lol.

This is for Mr. Towed. January 9th thru January 12th Disney has Marathon week end. Brings in a lot of people before and after the week end. Might want to plan for the week end after the marathon. Just a thought. Disney seems to be busy no mater what time of year it is!

Thanks so much! That's the kind of thing you'd have a hard time figuring out without knowing where to look. Had no idea there was an event going on so this gives us something to go on.

Coastal Georgia RV Resort is a nice place to stay on your trip to Disney World. We’re from Virginia Beach and that’s a nice halfway stop for us. It’s a nice, safe and clean RV park. They have a pool, not sure if it’s heated though and a game room. It’s right off of I-95 and gas is right around the corner. They’re also a Good Sam’s Campground.

We also stay in Santee, SC at Palmetto Shores RV Resort. If my wife gets tired early, we’ll stop here 1st. It’s also a Good Sam’s Campground.

We were at Fort Wilderness for 10 days in January. I would live there but my wife won’t let me! Eat at the Trails End Restaurant. It’s a nice buffet with comfort food close by the boat launch. We also rent a golf cart, but get ours on the property, more for convenience than anything else. It is expensive though, $59 a day.

Different Prices per night at Fort Wilderness
We had this happen to us at Disney:
We checked in on a holiday at $95 per night for each night we were there. We needed to make some changes in the reservation so we called. The Disney reservationist informed us that if we made 3 reservations instead of one, the first night would be $95 (holiday rate), the next 4 nights would be $45 per night (off season weekday rate) and then the last 2 nights would go back to the weekend rate. So we saved $200 bucks off a 6 night stay.

We stay at Ft. Wilderness at least 1 week a month. Checkin IS 1:00pm. We get there at about 11:30 and we have been able to go to our site every time. Why do people rent/bring golf carts? I think the people who rent have never driven one and they think it's fun. They let their under age kids drive and I've seen them run people off the road! We have 2 and do not bring them. No need. Walk. Get some exercise! All we see at Disney are teenagers sitting on the ground. They don't stand up. They need exercise.

I love walking but when I’m on vacation I like to ride some. I have walked almost a thousand miles on the Appalachian Trail but DW would rather ride

Plus it's just fun. We walk at the fort all of the time mostly when the dogs need to poo.

This is our third time on the 800 loop. We request a site on the outside of the loop. Today’s check-in, the fellow at check-in offered a handful of sites that would vacate and let us pick the one that sounded best. I think it’s one of our best yet- private on the front, no one behind us, and room the park the truck.
