DIY Solar Flag Pole :)
I was looking around on Pinterest for some ideas on a solar lamp post and found what I wanted but.....after making it, I didn't like the way it looked so I decided to do my own thing with it and made it into a garden flag pole. I am very happy with how it turned out and have actually had a couple of people ask me to make them one also

Great idea
How do you keep it standing up in the wind? I use a 4ft piece of rebar in the ground that the pole slides over.... It is for my flagpole, but love the idea of the solar lamp on top!

Do you have a parts list and lengths to cut the PVC?

I used a 1.5" and .5" pipe with a slip on "t". The bottom is a toilet bowl flange with holes drilled in it for stakes. I cut a small piece of 1.5" pipe to go above the "t" so that I could put an adapter on top to make it look nicer. I also put a test cap in the top under the adapter with a hole cut it in the size of the stem on the Solar light so that it has a snug fit. The flag is hanging on a wooden dowel rod attached to the .5" pipe by 4 eye hooks. That's pretty much it ☺

So far, four tent stakes are working but I replaced the Solar light with a different, heavier light today so I might have to use a rod to slide it over also.

Great Job on the yard flag pole. I love this site as there are so many creative peeps on here! So many great Ideas here and not enough time or $$$ to do them all..... Keep up the creativeness ya'll, LOL...
