We have apple turnovers planned for this weekend's inaugural trip, as well as a pre-made eggplant parmesan dish. We intend to use it, probably mostly in winter, but its nice to have the option.

we've always used our oven, in all of the 8+ years we've owned our HTT.

We use ours a lot. Taters and onions wrapped in foil for dinner is to die for.

Use our's all the time. Heat up sandwiches driving down the road all of the time. Wouldn't be without one. Takes 10 seconds to light the pilot and just leave it on.
I think reading this thread that some people don't know how to work the oven.

One more yes vote...we use it every trip...and we haven't even tried the "pizza stone trick" yet.

Not sure why I haven't seen anyone yet mention that the oven itself can be used for storage?

Oh yes. Mary B's biscuits, cookies, corn bread, etc. Wife uses it but with cookie sheet to disperse heat and on a lower setting than is called for. I only wish it had a click lighter.

We use our oven. We don't use it every time but it is nice to have when we want to or need to use an oven.

Do not have one. Use Dutch Oven for my biscuit and most everything else far as baking.

I'm no rocket scientist, but I am pretty sure they intentionally do not put "click lighters" in the ovens to prevent you from blowing yourself up by igniting an oven full of gas (whether you intended to or not!).

I don't have one at all, but where it would be, there is a cabinet door that matches all the rest of the cabinets. Microwave same way, don't have one.

Most of the time they heat the trailer up too much but on a day that it is cold and damp it's a nice way to wake up. Sausage rolls, Cinnamon Buns among other things that are camping breakfast specials.

I think the answers will be relative to how many of us use our ovens period. If you don't bake a lot at home it is quite apparent that they won't get used on the road. I use my oven every day, and I can't wait to get my new camper that has an oven to try new recipies for our road trips. I absolutely love to cook & bake. I already have my pizza stone. It is funny, but I have a six burner gas stove top with an electric convection oven at home and I leave two pizza stones in it all the time. They are seasoned and ready for fresh tomato basil & garlic pizza all the time! So, as you can see, it's not a stretch for me to bake all the time in the camper either. Baked rosemary chicken, french onion soup, my absolutely awesome biscuits and gravy....I just can't wait.
Now for a question..
for any of you that already have your camper, what is the highest temp you can heat your oven to? I am assuming there is no broiler because the gas element is on the bottom of the oven only, right?

I'm the cook regardless of where we are... DW has a knack of burning down kitchens - literally!

Use the TT oven 3-4 times a season for brownies and coffee rolls.

Ours lights easily, and gets used at least once every few mornings. I agree about using a pizza stone.

We use the oven every trip and would not buy a camper without one.

Ours will get used a handful of times a year, but the rest of the time, its bread/roll storage. I wouldn't buy a rv without one. I liken it to a tool that I rarely use but when I do its the perfect tool for the job.

Lets see...pizza when its rainy (otherwise pizza over the fire), rolls, biscuits (unless I'm using the Dutch oven over the fire then the biscuits go on top of what I'm cooking) and well that's about it really.

Here. Here. I just learned this trick (on this forum) myself and will be trying it out this season. We love to pup baking items in the oven when we camp and have trouble burning the bottoms of items. The pizza stone looks like a great idea.

I just need to figure out what size pizza stone I need and then find one.

Vin.

That could very well be.

We purchased this RV last July. It came with convection microwave & a cooktop. No oven.

Wife doesn't like it without an oven. So where does that leave me ??

While in Florida in this winter I went to local dealer and ordered an oven. Took out the drawer below cooktop and installed new oven & cooktop combo.

I now have a convection microwave combo & an oven cooktop combo that all look like the coach came from factory with them. I lost a large storage drawer. Very easy switch.

Even more important the wife is happy--and the bad side I'm lighter by about $800.
