Cool door replacement

I have a 2002 Forest River Wildwood 37bhss. It is setup "permanent" in a campground. It has a 6'-0 wide single sliding door on the side that we enter and exit it from onto our porch. It is somewhat aggravating to constantly slide the door back and forth to go in and out as it is fairly heavy, especially for our granddaughters who are 6 and 8 years old. I was wondering if anyone has ever replaced their sliding door with a swinging type door like on a house and how did you accomplish this ?? Or would I just tear out the sliding door and just frame a new swinging door in like on a house ?? Want something that works good and looks good and kind of matches the camper style and look.. Haven't been able to find anything like this online at any of the camper stores and supply houses.. Thanks for any advice or ideas..

I put French Doors in a park model RV once. I took the sliding door out and framed in the french doors and it looked really nice. You can buy no-mull doors where you can open both doors or you center mull doors where just one panel opens. I used crown molding around the frame to account for the difference in thickness between the wall and door frame.

If your sliding door is standard 6-8 height you will have plenty of options, however if you have a short door you'll likely have to have something special made, or enlarge the rough opening to fit a standard door.
