Dorian changing your plans?

Just wondering how many on the forum are madly trying to change your camping plans for this upcoming week? We were heading out for Myrtle Beach tomorrow but Dorian had to change those plans this morning when they changed the expected path. Well back to the phone and change our direction!
Happy Camping!

We did have reservations at Westgate River ranch in the Orlando area. So far it is looking better for us but still not for a nice weather pattern. Still watching very closely.

Waiting to see

We have reservations for PirateLand in Myrtle Beach for next week. Of course, going will depend on what Dorian does later this week. I did see that they ordered an evacuation of Zone A, which includes PirateLand, and yesterday, PirateLand told campers there they had to leave.

We had to leave Myrtle Beach (Ocean Lakes) do to the Governor of South Carolina giving a mandatory evacuation of everyone east of Rt 17. That is most campgrounds and motels in the area. Zone A.

We are going to the vintage car races at Watkins Glen New York. Last two years cold and rain. The older pre WWII open air roadsters won't run in the rain. A lot of the older sports cars won't either and I don't blame them. I know it's a long way from Florida but I also know how much rain can be dumped inland from one of these. We will eat the tickets and stay home.

We intended to stay at Asheville East KOA for 3 nights, 8/27 - 8/29 prior to returning to Central Florida.

However, Dorian and the prior influence of Irma extended the stay to 11 nights.

Leaving here on Saturday 9/7 and stopping one night in Perry, GA; instead of the planned Savannah, GA on the coast.

It was Mustang Week in Myrtle Beach. I am sure that many of the events have been changed due to the mandatory evacuations and Dorian pending. Hate to miss it.

No, but Dorian is changing directions. Looks to head north up the coast sparing most of FL. At least that's how it looked a little while ago.

That what they expected it to do. Stall out then move north along follow the coast. Hopefully it will stay off the coast but impacts along Florida to South and North Carolina are expected. Hopefully no direct hits along the coast line.

It definitely changed my plans. I had planned to attend a weekend "Man Camp" with some other men and a Sunday evening hamburger social for my Bible study class.
Now I'm packed and ready to deploy with Louisiana Baptist disaster relief to the east coast with a mass feeding unit. But it's not the first time my plans got changed from sleeping in my RV somewhere, to finding myself sleeping on a church floor several states away.
Hang on east coast. Help is staged just inland, ready to move in when Dorian moves out.

I live on the southern NC coast. We were supposed to be in Florida this week and next. The navy base called and canceled as expected. We are staying home in hopes we can still get there, just delayed. Only 1 couple I know left. Looks better here every hour. My guess is it will be a cat 1 at most and as likely as much as a cow fart.

Sitting at Indian River Inlet DE. Watching the path and waiting. Was hoping to hold out until Saturday, but may have to move Thursday or Friday if the projected path holds true.
