Dove to clean roof?

Have used Ivory on many trailers and if it's soft on babies, sure treats the trailers roof with care. Imagine Dove works the same.

But manufacturer says Dawn. I'd go with the manufacturer.

On both my trailers with TPO roofs the manufacturers' instructions say to use Murphy's Oil Soap. That's what I use and it works well. It's made for wood so it can't contain any petroleum based products.

I used LA's Totally Awesome to clean up my scissor jacks and it almost killed the grass where I was cleaning them. I'd be hesitant to use it on the camper.

X2. I've used Dawn for the past 5 years. Warm water and a soft brush. Clean it once a year at the beginning of the season.

Blue Dove works well. Murphy's for tough stains. Used Borax once. While it worked great, the white run off made a mess of the unit's side and driveway.

I had a 10 year old TT that the roof had never been cleaned. I used dawn then diluted bleach. Might not have been the best idea in the long run, but it immediately made the roof nice and white again. Later RJD

I also use Dawn and a stiff brush on my rubber roof. For all my rigs over the years. If I use the rubber roof cleaner at the recommended strength it leaves streaks all down the side of my RV which then requires a new wax job. Dawn does not do that and does a good job.

It was originally invented by Murphy-Phoenix Company, later became Colgate-Palmolive's subsidiary in 1991.[1] It is available in a concentrated liquid form which is then mixed with water, as well as pre-diluted form which comes in a trigger spray bottle. Commercials for the product state that the product is ideal for cleaning wood surfaces.

Murphy oil soap does not contain petroleum-based oil; it contains potassium soap manufactured from vegetable oil. The other constituents of Murphy Oil Soap are sodium EDTA, propylene glycol, fragrance, surfactants, and water.[2]

Murphy Oil Soap is commonly used to clean and polish horse tack, such as bridles and saddles. It is also commonly used to clean black-powder weapons after use, since the lack of petroleum-based oil and the presence of vegetable oil lessens the amount of sludge that is created when cleaning black powder residues from weapons. Use dawn to clean, rinse and use Aero 303 it is real good for uv protection. But I clean mine at least 3 times a year.

Back about 10 - 12 years ago we bought a Flagstaff TT with a rubber roof,,, the paperwork that came with TT said to use a Natural Soap to clean the roof ???
Murphy's Oil Soap is the only Natural soap I know of !!! That is all I ever used !!!

Murphy's Oil Soap is the only Natural soap I know of !!! That is all I ever used !!!

Rubber roofs (EDPM) are a different animal than the newer TPO roofs.

Or what ever the TPO manufacture recommended !!!

As was mentioned... the TPO manufacturer recommends Dawn.
