Dresser drawers

I know it's been talked about on the form ,but can't remember where I saw it at. My dresser drawers will not stay closed while traveling. What's the best way to keep them closed.

This is what the manufacturers used on my 2 trailers and they seem to mostly work:
Hardware House 64-4567 Contractor Pack Roller Catch, Brown, 10-Pack https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B002BY9J...KG7CN7AEAJA8KE

If you have the drawers loaded heavy you might need to put 4 of those catches on to get the job done. We have a drawer in our current RV that we finally gave up and put a gate hook on because it has all of the pots and pans in it and no standard drawer catch would keep it closed while driving.

That's what is on it now, but it won't stay closed even if it's empty. Thinking about those magnetic closers

Do a little more research on types of drawer latches. I replace all the cheap, weak factory latches when we buy a new RV. You can buy latches of different pull strengths. I use 15lb to 60lb pull strength depending on the drawer. There are many types and may install differently depending on the drawer or cabinet.

I was mad one of my drawers broke from flying open in transit. Forest River guy showed me the mechanism that's supposed to keep them closed I never even knew existed. At the end of the rails closest to drawer face, there is a mechanism with a spring loaded 'nub' that makes friction during initial drawer movement. Apparently there is a screw adjusting tension on this nub. On one side of this mechanism is a screw for increasing/decreasing tension. Probably on underside where you can't see it. NOBODY TELLS YOU THIS.

I just went out and fooled with mine. Each mechanism with the spring loaded nub is installed so one side is adjustment screw side up, screw is facing down on opposite side.

I used magnetic drawer latches like these. https://www.lowes.com/pd/Brainerd-Br...Catch/50426698

One didn't hold the silverware drawer very well so I installed 2 sets on that drawer and the one below it. No issues since.

Any hardware store has them. Just do a google search on drawer and cabinet catch or latch and you will find all kinds

Thanks I'll look for the adjustment screws.
