Question Driving to Alaska

I know it costs a fortune in fuel to drive a motorhome to Alaska. If you have done it, was it worth it, or do you wish you had flown there and rented an RV?

It has been many years.....but with many travels throughout the world, I consider the drive and time in route to Alaska to be the most memorable...other than the expense, I can not imagine it would be any less so today. Anxious to learn from those that have done it recently.

If time is not a factor, definitely drive. My wife and I pulled a TT last year with a ram 2500 diesel and spent 3989 dollars on fuel. Drove about 11,000 miles.
