Are they better than the wedge ones that go between the ground and the wheels. Yes they are. I have had the metal ones made by b&l now I am using my own made from wood as the space between the tires is to small for b&l, to cheep to buy the other kind. To get the max. out of them you have to chock both sides this will stop alot of trailer movement.

I've attached a picture of the homemade wooden chocks that are probably similiar to what cardinal4fun also referred to and yes, they really reduce trailer movement.

I have the same wheels setup with 14" tires and those rims, and I have a BAL X-CHOCK that is metal, and works in tight tolerance areas- only needs 1 1/4 ". Got this one at Camping World. Thanks, Randy

Technically they are tandem wheel chocks. Dual wheels are when you have 2 tires and rims on the same set of lug nuts, as in a dually truck. Tandem wheels are when you have single wheel and tire on 2 axles. Not to be picky, but there is a difference. There are also dual tandems, as under a tractor/trailor rig.

Keep watching Camping World sales, those BAL X-Chock go on sale every so often for $25+ a piece, regularly they are $50.
They work great. The only downside I have with them is I can't use my individual tire covers when parked in my driveway.

I also use the BAL X-Chock. One for each side. They work great. Even come with their own racheting wrench. Once you get them to your wheel size just a couple of cranks to loosen or tighten. Worth the money as far as i am concerned.
