Dump Stations
Hello everyone. First, let me say that I will soon be an RV'er. Also I would like to say that I love this forum and have been using it for quite a few months even though I have not yet purchased my TT. I do have a couple of questions; are there many RV dump stations outside traditional RV Parks? And, how would I find these dump station, by city, state, or is there a national listing?

Website https://www.sanidumps.com/ is searchable for dump stations.
There are also apps available for android and iphone that have dump station info.

If you have a sewer clean out at your house you should be able to that also.

Pay attention to your local gas stations. You might find that a few have dump stations and since prior to this you had no need you didn’t notice. In the small town of Deer Park WA there is one gas station/convince store with a dump and the local Elks lodge has one too.

Some rv storage locations have dump spots and many rv stores do too.

Most Flying J truck stops have RV dump facilities.

I use the Allstays app. I've got five of them, one of them being for dump stations only. You have to pay for them, but all five were around $16. But it's well worth it as I use them all the time.

Many. Particularly out west. Some along highways. Some in community locations: sometimes near water treatment plants. Many Forest Service Campgrounds.
And sometimes (rarely) an empty spot of Federal land ( BLM or Forest Service)...if like me you learn to not put TP down RV toilet. Gone much faster than horse poops.

Are you saying you dump your tanks on property that isnt yours where somebody else may camp?
I am really hoping I read that wrong.
If you are dumping on BLM land Im gonna guess that its probably not allowed!

I don’t think you read that wrong AceCombat.
Everything I’ve recently read says that it is illegal to dump human feces onto the ground in BLM and Department of Interior lands. This is whether it contains toilet paper or not.
Human feces can contain and transmit diseases.
By definition, bio hazardous waste is any waste containing infectious material. Among many other infectious diseases, human feces can carry:
C. diff
cholera
E coli
Dysentery
Norovirus
Hepatitis A and E
Giardia
Pinworms
All of these diseases are dangerous, even fatal, so human feces is a biohazard.

while there are dump stations, or outlets, in many actual places that you may not be aware of, or even ever think about, finding the ability to 'dump' can really be more easy than you think....
Yes, rv parks and campgrounds typically have a general 'dump station', even if all of their sites having their own sewer outlet. Some charge, some don't, some are city or regional dump stations and are open to the public, etc. I've even seen some at city Welcome centers, on Interstate exits, and even at city and county garbage and recycling centers.
Most of us who have traveled a lot, though, have learned that any sewer cleanout that you see next to businesses, homes, and churches, newer ones at least, and are simply the same 'dump station' outlet that you would access anywhere else - it simply goes to the sewer.

If I see you dumping your black tank on public land (or any open ground), I will get your license plate and find the nearest law enforcement agent to give it to, along with a video of you doing it. And I will probably have an up front and personal conversation with you to boot.
Folks that do these kind of things are the ones who ruin it for everybody else.
You can find dump stations at most travel centers and truck stops.

Quite likely this is a trolling post to get everyone stirred up.
