East /West differences

OK - So what is the difference between East and West TT's or 5er's?

Everytime I go to see specs on some Mfg's I notice they show East and West floorplans but the floorplans are the same (in some cases).

Is it Materials they use, tires, frame?

I'm thinking it all depends where the assembly plants are located. Got to get their market share.
Some of the manufacturing plants were in business building units under a certain brand names. They were bought out by FR and remained open.
