Emergency de-flappers

I was camping at my ranch (trailer outside the shop not inside) extended the awning and tied down with awning poles and straps as usual the air was calm no high winds forecasted. A super strong wind came up that caused the awning to flap so hard the whole rig was vibrating and I thought the fabric may rip. I grabbed what I had at the shop 2 strips of wood about 4' x 1.5" x 1/8" four clamps and some layout string and made emergency de-flappers they actually worked and I believe saved my awning check out the pics.
