entertainment center instructions

I am brand new and have no clue what I am doing so I beg everyone's indulgence.

I have a new lexington with some type of entertainment center in front on right of TV. We have all looked all over it and there is no name, model etc..
We did not get any kind of book or manual we can't figure it out and don't know where to start looking for info. Our dealer is almost useless ,has no clue what it is and can only suggest that I drive the 100+ miles to his location so he can take a look and see what this thing is.

Forest river is closed now and we are frustrated beyond belief .

This is not the only problem and not the only missing info. Can anyone help?

Thanks much guys.
The remote has a button that says zx700.
I searched on that and found concertone.
I checked the site but could not find the 700. Did find a zx690 that looks just like it.
Sent an email asking for a manual. No down loads found at site.
I now have phone number and Bob Fields name so I can contact by phone on Monday.

Anybody know why the product would have NO identifiable markings?
What are they trying to hide?
Is it normal that I would not get any info with my new coach?

Seems a little sloppy to me all round. (Dealer didn't even know what it was.PLEASE)
Thanks again to all. If you have a manual please contact.

I believe its a house brand so no need to brand it . Bob checks this forum so maybe he will shed some light for you.
I have a zx690
tell me what your problem is

The remote you are looking at is the tv remote I think, mine has the ZX700 which I have to push to get the tv on. You should have a remote for the Genesis system that all this hooks into. If you put the tv remote and center remote about 1''away the sieries of steps you have to go by to program. I'm saying this thinking you have a tv that is a tobishi (i think I spelled that right) If this is true send me a email address and I can walk you thur the problem.

Thanks so much for the offer of help.
I just need all the operating instructions.
I can normally read instructions (if I get really desperate) and understand.
There are lots of features and buttons , what do they all do?
As you can see I am at ground zero. I guess the days of a simple car radio that can be figured out in less than 5 minutes with trial and error are gone (sadly). But you got to love all the features with all the technology.

You also mentioned that it was a house brand. In this case is the house Forest River? If so I should be able to start there I guess.

I am not sure that I can agree that any product or item installed or sold as part of a product costing what a MH goes for is on any level acceptable!
Where do you go for parts, repair or just answers for DA like myself.

I hope that this thing is what we think it is and not a bomb installed by terrorist . I have seen things that look like this on TV and people were trying to disarm it before it destroyed the city. I should hold off calling 911 I guess.
I think or hope that this is simply an over site that will be resolved on Monday with a simple call to FR

Thanks again for all the help and concern.
Ed

Do a search at the top of this forum for" zx700 pdf manual" and you should find what you are looking for.
Hope this helps

are you sure you don't have a Concertone manual in your paperwork?

i got one with my little 24' HTT.
wasn't much to it but i can't believe it's not in with all the other stuff, like the manuals to the fridge, oven, a/c, converter, furnace, water heater and so on.

You are the MAN!! Thanks I found it.
I don't understand why none of my previous searchs found this.
I have much to learn on this forum stuff. I still had to back out to Google and find it in the forum but it was there.
This forum is worth every penny of what I paid?

Thanks much and come back to haunt all with my next question--manual slide operation.
Thanks again for putting me on this.

not sure what you found. did you find the manual in your paperwork or did you find the answer at Concertone's website?

and you said in your first post: "Forest river is closed now and we are frustrated beyond belief".
are you saying that you tried to call FR in Indiana? they don't have a customer service number.
you would have to call the brand division and talk to someone there.
but your dealer should be the first one to talk to. FR really relies on their dealers to answer and help customers, not their corporate divisions.

it doesn't sound like you got a good walk-through/PDI.

our PDI guy showed us how to manually bring the slide in. showed us the manual crank and where to attach it.

im beginning to think your dealer isn't a very good one !
1) doesn't know what kind or any info on entertainment center.
2) pdi evidently wasn't very good if your asking questions that really should have been answered during pdi .

No I did not find any info among my packet.
You think I would waste 2 days of my time along with everyone else without checking my proved info several times?

I am guilty of missing the way to download manuals from concertone's web site. I could not find any. I confess.

A member of this blog told me how to properly search on this blog and thanks to him I now have a manual and a working unit.

Earlier I was trying to say that getting an answer from the good folks at FR would have to wait until Monday when they reopened.

Did you mean to say that there was no customer service number at FR?
Well there is and some very friendly and helpful people assisted me get the repair parts for my shower.

I am so thankful for FR and you blog guys willing to help.

FR is no different than any other RV manuf. in that there are good dealers and not so good dealers. I know that nothing is perfect and to me it is more about how a business handles its problems. So far I am impressed with FR's customer service which includes this forum.

Thanks again to all and happy camping.

Does this end this thread or do I have to do something else?

You hit that one on the head!
I will seek out another dealer to provide help if I can.
I am keeping my fingers crossed that I have no real issues to deal with.

I honestly thought that I could figure out the slide question by myself even if he was not that good on that issue.

I will look at the one I can see and try to get a name and part and go from there. The web is a wonderful thing.

Thanks much
Ed

Glad you found the info you need ED. Just a couple things, 1st just for the record, this forum is not associated with Forest River in any way. It is privately owned and run, many of the moderators are users just like yourself who have been here awhile. There are some Forest River reps who frequent this place as users and help out when they can, some like RV Guy and Bob Fields and a few others taking more active roles.
Secondly, this thread will kind of just keep going with people adding comments along the way, no need for you to do anything because as I said this is not a Forest River site and I think you may have the misconception that you opened a FR ticket or something.

Happy camping and be safe on the roads.
