Woo Hoo! I got 3rd place! Not sure which of my pics they liked, but they liked one of 'em. I suppose we'll find out which picture and other stuff in a few days. Nothing on the website yet other than the contest has ended. And I'm a 3rd place winner!

If you are Ed W., I had picked the one with the campfire at night. Made a list of the ones I liked and you (that picture) was my 1st. choice.

Thanks y'all. I'm thinking it's the one with the windmill also. That is my Sis-in-Law's place in Nebraska.
Choice Spot, I am Ed W, but I don't have a pic with a campfire. I have the one with the windmill, on "Among the Pines", and the Precarious Parking.
I wonder who got 2nd and 1st. I'm looking forward to seeing those.

Yours is the one I picked then. I like the pictures that showed the campers set up and being used. Your camp looked really nice. Wonder who got 1st.? I just looked. I had picked John M.

Thanks all. I actually took probably 20 pictures of that shot before I got one I liked. There was virtually no light. It was basically the x-mas lights in the window and awning combined with the fire. I had the camera on a tripod and was taking the pictures with my remote so as not to touch the camera and wiggle it.
I think the one I ended up using was something like a 5 second exposure.
This trip was really fun for the kids. We're from Florida and they've never seen snow. Over Christmas, we went up into the Shenandoah valley so the kids could experience snow. You can see a small snowman in the picture my 8 year old worked on. He ended up spending a a couple minutes a day tweaking it and adding things to it. After a week of skiing and playing in the snow, we traveled on to Washington D.C. to do the museums. 3 weeks on the road in all. Really fun trip.

Okay, finally found out which one won. You were right Chap...
They also liked this one and asked me if they could use it in their literature and marketing. Pretty cool.

Well, now I know why we could not figure out who got 1st place. He/she was a no show. I have now moved up to 2nd place! Which means I guess that Roaming is now 1st place. Congrats! She said the website will be updated with the winners next week.
