Yikes!! That would cost me about $400 on my 38ft HitchHiker. 2 yrs ago it was $5.25/ft, then $5.75 and this spring was $6.25. I wonder what it will cost this winter?

yep, $451 plus $50 tip on my 41' @ $11/ft
$500 for a job that would take me 16 hours to do.
It took me 6 hours just to wash it. I told the DW that I will never tackle the wax job.
I will have the "Wax on Wheels" guys out this fall.

Sounds like a plan! That's a lot of surface to go over and a lot of up/down a ladder.

Had my detail guys come out again this past Thursday and apply a coat of wax and shine up the 5th wheel.
I think that it looks really good for a 7 year old rig.Click image for larger version

You are right... it does look good.
Nice to see someone taking good care of their investment even after 7 years.

Camper looks nice. I am a Maguire's guy for my vehicles and they do make a nice fiberglass wax. However, if you want the best fiberglass wax you need Collinites Marine /aero wax. I use this stuff on my Grady and I use Maguire's too. Collinites hands down is the beat. It last significantly longer than Maguire's and 10 year old Grady White boat looks nearly new because of the UV protection and minimal oxidation due to Collinities.

I keep my camper under cover and two years ago I waxed it with Collinities and the glass still beads up water today. In my experience it is the best wax for gel coat and fiberglass finishes.

Finally got it waxed

We had waxed the MH last we had it out. Thought it looked pretty good when we picked it up last week just in time to go to our first FROG rally in Gettysburg. It’s a 11

Do you use Collinities paste or liquid wax?
A quick Google search shows an #845 last step liquid wax, a #925 insulator liquid wax, a #476S paste and a #885 paste.

I used to use Collinite back in the late 80's, back in my boating days. Good product, nice shine. However, I switched to NU Finish which lasted much longer on my half black boat, topside gunnel, sitting in the reflecting sun at the marina from May 15 to October 15 than the Collinite at half the price, can you say today Wal Mart. My last post on this thread was from last year, the first time I tried Mequier's Mirror Finish #21. After a long hard Buffalo, NY winter I am impressed how well it held up. Just finished the front and back of my motor home this past weekend and unlike my previous post it did a great job removing residual winter black streaks. Really does go on easily as well as removal. I am sold on it. Sorry Nu Finish you served me well.

They do the full body paint on the Berks and four layers of clear coat. What we’d used before we stored it last was the Lucas slick mist fast and easy speed wax, spray on barely buff off we use it on our cars and it’s what we had on hand. Went much quicker then the paste wax. My hubby buys it off amazon

Thanks for sharing that you do it one side at a time... Debbie

I did our VLite a couple weeks back and to clean the roof and wash and wax the rig took me 11 hours. Not something I want to do again any time soon.

I just washed and waxed my FELE 312BHDS this weekend, that took allllllllllll weekend. I used Nufinish because I couldn't find Meguires #21 locally. (going to amazon that though).

That was a huge job but its definitely better looking then no wax at all, the front cap being all white benefited the most, ascetically speaking.

How about a pic of the finished product? You can’t have spent your weekend and not at least share. Especially since you told us about it. [emoji3][emoji3]

Here it is freshly washed and waxed yesterday. Still used the Lucas spray wax. Spiffing her up for the trip back to her makers. She’s gorgeous

My goodness! That thing looks awesome!

You might as well pat yourself on the back for a job well done.

Easy to make her look good. We stepped it up and got her windows done too. She’s 40ft long. Today I worked on the woodwork and cabinets inside
