Good job with the repairs! You most likely did a better job than the dealer would do plus you now know how to make future repairs.

For the water heater problem, you should probably contact Forest River Directly via the link posted above your last post. That's more serious than your other issues.

Glad you got the repairs and upgrades done.

If the screws pull out of the MDF tabletop again, you will most likely want to replace the inferior grade of MDF with solid plywood. There is a reason the woodworking industry calls MDF "termite barf." If replacing the top is not in the cards then consider chiseling out some channels to fill with long grain wood and epoxy/ If screws will not hold then the MDF is truly of inferior quality. Take advantage of the DR help that has been extended.

Last problem, water heater not heating on AC, finally resolved. My bad. AC switch on water heater was covered with silver tape in the outside compartment and I didn't see it like three times looking :-(. Finally found it, turned it on, and now I have AC heated water. All problems resolved (for now).

Camping World stock is plummeting with a 52-week high of $47.62 down to Friday’s close at $16.40. Enough said.

Then on to the TV. I went to Home Depot and bought expanding inserts for the holes designed for hollow walls and doors. Used them to reinstall the mount. 5 of the 8 tightened up really well to the inside of the wall. Three of them didn't because the insert was turning. But I think 5 expanding inserts will hold that mount well now. And I also wrapped self adhering velcro around the mount arms so they can't open up by accident until we're ready for them to open up.

Since I was having such good luck, we decided to replace the cheap sink faucet with something better that had a higher faucet height, Went back to Home Depot with the old faucet to make sure I was buying the right size, bought a new Delta faucet, and installed it in like 5 minutes. Much nicer than the one that came in the camper, which was literally plastic.

So at the moment, the only problem I am still facing is that the water heater won't heat on electric (see http://www.forestriverforums.com/for...on-174365.html)

So I guess that 'jack of all trades' mentality is already settling in :-)

I think I would have used the toothpick trick for the table instead just so I wouldn't have extra holes under the table.

They say that if you want to make new friends in a campground, set your toolbox on the picnic table and open it up. Like bees to honey, fellow RVers offering to help.

These forums are a huge help. There isn't one new-to-you issue on your rig that hasn't already happened to a hundred other folks at one time or another.

I wasn't familiar with the Flagstaff E-Pro16bh. Amazing!! Bitty coach done got ever'thang!!

Enjoy!

Rob,
Your doing great. You will want to be careful with the electric hot water switch; be sure you have water in the heater. I generally leave that switch in the off position. As to CW; now you know.

I would like to pass along a trick i learned building RC aircraft. If you have an existing screw hole in wood that may need reinforcing or you drill a new hole. Screw your screw in it then take the screw out, use 15 minute epoxy, or super glue in the hole then put the screw back in for 10 seconds or so then take out again and wait 15 minutes or so for the glue/epoxy to soak in the wood and dry. Then your all set.
