We have found the state parks around vt and ny hard to meet people. Most everyone is camping with their family or friends. We don't have friends that like to camp, so feel a bit alone. Would like to find a more social place, but don't care for RV parks.
Suggestions?

Whew! Try some punctuation and capitalization once in a while! Your post is very hard to read.

I take it the RV parks are not "natural" enough for you? Grab a campground guide from those states and do some research. Many of the larger ones give you a choice of surroundings and activities. Try one that seems to meet your vibe. The longer you stay, the more friends you'll meet.

We took two trips to Disney World last year without the camper. The resort we stayed at didn’t have and room. We are planning on going back this year but this time stay at Fort Wilderness.

We stay at a mega park most of the time , we can partake in their activities or not, everything is there we can stay in the park or go out, plenty do do or not.

We can be by ourselves or with 10000 others at the same time. Our choise at the same place.

But we live in the country & mountains, so do not mind being urban for a change.

Just depends on what you make of it.

One of the reasons we didn't buy a nice new RV was to save money and so we wouldn't have a payment to make on it. We like to try to go to Europe about every 2 years, if we can. It is EXPENSIVE! But, it's great to visit another culture and explore historic cities and try different food and see amazing sites. We like to use Rick Steves guides, as well as going off some Samantha Brown shows. We have stayed in a number of Airbnbs as well as hotels, of course. We also like to try to go the Bahamas every year or two with my parents to their timeshare, so, since we both work it's also tough to find the time to take off for all that leisure, as much as we would love to! We're jealous of all these people on youtube RVing around full time and making money doing it. We actually love staying in hotels but it sure is nice to have your little home-to-go with all your stuff already in it!

Me too. Well, not dyslexic, but I do ramble. There's nothing to say you can't go back and fill in the gaps and add a comma or a period or fix a spelling error, though.

We love boondocking in backwoods with or without friends. We take our fiver on most trips and have been traveling a lot since retirement three years ago. And for trips of several weeks i love it.

My wife loves our RV and would take it even on quick destination trips. I would rather stay in a hotel for trips under four days. So I have to prove that it is more cost effective to not take the RV.

I also love cruises and anywhere in Europe and don't miss the RV.

I guess what I'm saying is that sometimes you can get too much of a good thing and just need an occasional change.

We only go to state and COE parks and always alone. But we have met some great people just by walking over and saying "hi". My wife has become facebook friends with several so we meet up again. We don't join organized activities, but meet a lot of people on our own.

Camping for me sometimes is the joy of camping and other times it's an affordable way to stay somewhere. When we go to the Florida Keys and stay at Pennekamp, camping is cheap lodging and the boat slips at the state park are a good deal compared to other places. Honestly, the admiral would much rather stay in a condo or house with our Keys trips.

Then you have camping to go camping like here in the Smokies. It's nice being in the woods and camping is a good get away. I don't have 5r and likely never will. So, y'all's level of glamping will never be achieved by me. Lol.

First vacation in 2 years that is not in our camper.

We also have done the cruises. Visited Hawaii twice on the company’s tab, bonuses. Extremely nice. Own a few time shares we rent out and haven’t used for years. But oh, just knowing everything but food and clothes is loaded and waiting. Nothing like it. We have put about 5k miles on our much adored Berkshire. An 11 390RB been ours for exactly a year. We’ve taken her farther then the tt or 5 th we owned before. Maybe because I’ll help and drive. She’s a dream.

I always go in the RV 5er cause we have 2 dogs & I won't put them in a kennel. If I was to go without the RV though Washington,DC the same place I try and avoid when traveling up and down the coast (I avoid rt95 like the plague) would be the last place I would go. In fact having been there when I was around 14 you could not pay me to go there ever again. That being said I agree with you I like my own bed and surroundings that come with the 5er.

Everyone is different

I spent my time and dollars at a palapa house in Quintana Roo on the Caribbean. My husband surprised me with a road trip when he found out that I had never been to Idaho or Montana. (We live in Washington). I enjoyed it so much I said we needed a trailer and started camping.

But there are other places in the world I want to see and spend my time so we still travel., but it’s by plane and in VRBO rentals and hotels. There’s so much we’d miss if we only camped.
