Florida Camping

Has anyone ever stayed at Three Rivers State Campgrounds in North Florida?

It sound very nice and is only about 3 hours away.

Would like to make reservations but can not help but notice that all the other state campgrounds are busy and this one is not.

We would feel better if we had some first hand information.

Thanks.

Check out www.campgroundreviews.com and see if anyone has rated it. This is the first place I check when researching a campground I haven't stayed at.

I LIVE in north Florida, 47 years, and have never heard of it! Is that a State Park? What city is that nearby? I live in Jax, and I have been to Crooked River State Park; however that is in south Georgia. (nice campground, cable TV hookups, Elec, water, dump station, only like 22.00/night, and good fishing, small putt putt golf in park, nature center. About 25 miles from Jax. I think it's exit 5, I-95, Ga. Good luck, and Happy Camping!! Randy

We have stayed overnight at Three Rivers three times in the last 4 years. We found the park to be a nice place for an overnight stay and, depending upon your expectations, probably a nice place for a multi-night stay. They have canoe rentals, so you could explore the lake a bit. We did not use the bathhouse, so I cannot comment on that.

The park is on Lake Seminole, and some of the sites have a real nice view of the water. It's a beautiful area, and the people running the park are very nice and helpful. It's quiet at night, but you might want to stay in a space that's not near the boat launch as this is a fisherman's paradise, and the boats launch early in the morning.

We found it to be reasonably crowded during the summer when we were there, and this is especially so on the weekends, so make sure you have reservations. All in all, if you like Florida parks, as we do, you will like Three Rivers.
