Foam under fresh water tank...

My used motorhome came without a fresh tank and pump. They had been removed. Previous owner used MH as a hospitality vehicle with no water system. I am adding them back in. Would it make sense to put a piece of 1/2" thick styrofoam under the tank? Would this help prevent pressure points and possible stress fracture/leak? Is there any special way to make sure the tank does not slide around? I will be using a 30 gal Barker tank. I will be placing the tank under the bed in the back bedroom.

I think the styrofoam will break apart rather quickly, use rubber as f1100turbo suggested
