Foldable Chair 300 LBS Capacity?

Does anyone know of a foldable chair with 300 LBS capacity?

I’ve seen some things for sale, but would like to know if anyone has used a durable, storable chair. I’m tired of getting the cheap foldable chairs and having them break after a few uses.

I have one of these. I really like the sturdiness. I weigh 195 so not a big issue for me but says this is rated for 300. It is a bit pricey. Actually purchased mine at at camping dealership for $99.00 last year vs. the Lippert site.

REI has one - Wonderland Chair. it is a directors type chair that folds up like those bag camp chairs. it has a 300 lb capacity. I liked ours so much, we got a second one.

There’s a hundred different brands of the same chair with their brand sewn to it. Don’t pay the lippert price….. but they are really sturdy chairs.

Do a google search there are many listed for 300lb capacity here is a 600 lb capacity on Amazon.

https://www.amazon.com/Colegence-Ove...520135&sr=8-26

Not tried any of these so can't guarantee.

i use a Strongback chair. My main use is for comfort as i have a bad back with sciatica. It is different in that it doesnt curl your lower back which gives me nerve pain. I am only 200 lbs so i cant testify to its durability at 300, but it is rated for that and the quality seems top notch.

Thanks. I appreciate the first hand review and link.

I weigh pretty close to 195. Chair is for someone who visits me that is a little heavier and can’t sit or stand like they used to.

I've been using GCI Freestyle rockers. Capacity is 250 lbs. I'm 275 and haven't broken one yet. Ok, ok, I'll admit I broke the back of one, but I was doing stupid contortionist movements trying to turn and talk to somebody behind me. Now I'm more careful. Especially sitting down, I don't 'plop' down. Working on getting down to 250 by summer!! Literally walking myass off.

Had bunches.

Pay attention at any big store. They will be labeled.

Our folding chairs lead a tough life. The HD chairs kind of last forever. They are heavier. Instead of being $19.99 chairs we buy the $50 ones.

Often in fall these go on sale cheaper.

Interesting timing - - I just ordered two of these chairs last Friday evening.
Specs say 300 lb capacity.
https://www.eventstable.com/wood-folding-chair.html#92=471
I wanted something other than a canvas chair that I could use inside the trailer at the U-shaped dinette - something that looked more like a real dining room chair.
Quick delivery. I ordered after 7pm Friday and FedEx says they will be delivered tomorrow (Thursday) between 12 noon and 2pm. Six days.

They did charge $34.35 for delivery so two chairs totaled $109.33 - $54.66 each. Not too bad, I guess. I have seen other similar chairs (unknown weight capacity) in retail stores for much more than that.

These chairs remind me of the old days when I see pics of my grandparents eating outside, chairs and tables like these set up right in the yard. I think they just dragged out the inside furniture, pretty common back then.

You can always get the giant camping chair. Seen here next to a "regular" chair.

According to Amazon it will hold up to 400 lbs.

Because I'm weird and always search for best possible price, Amazon sells a set of 4 of those chairs, free shipping, comes out to $43.23 per chair before tax.

I'm coming to sit in your chair in July.

Sorry. I don't have any experience with the 300lb chairs.

However, if you click on the link in Oaklevel's post, you can find more chairs by scrolling down to the bottom of the page.

I've noticed that some of my larger friends have trouble with the width of the chairs. Depending on how their weight is distributed, they tend to get 'stuck' and embarrassed when the get in or out of chairs. So wider might be better.

My Titan Quad Chair that I got from Sportsman's Warehouse has a 600 lb capacity. I paid $40 each on sale. I got them because of the price, not because I need a 600 lb capacity chair! I'm 6' 2" so I find larger chairs to be more comfortable because the frame isn't biting into my legs.

I've noticed that the chairs rated for more weight are not only wider, but they are typically made with thicker metal than the lesser rated ones.

Nice looking chairs.
They must be (may be) good cause all of the models are sold out.

I second the recommendation for Strongback chairs. The lumbar support is outstanding. I bought two and after a couple of years, a weld broke. Even though it was out of warranty I sent them pictures along with the invoice and they sent me a new chair plus a new accessory they developed (a bag that hangs off the handle so you can keep drinks and stuff handy.
