We bought the GCI model that so many of you are using, based on the recommendations in this thread. Absolutely great piece of gear, no wood products to get messed up, quality hinges and latches. Really simple setup and take down. Thank you all for the various recommendations in this thread.

I got the Camco Aluminum Roll-Up Campsite Table with Carrying Bag from Amazon and Woot, on sale for a little over $30, although it's not always listed at that price. I use my Akorn Jr. Kamado grill, which weighs around 40 pounds and this table holds it with no problem.

We also have two homemade folding wooden tables. They are actually copies of a table made for my Grandfather at the carpentry shop when he worked at Warner Brothers Studio in LA as a cameraman.

They open up to 3 x 4 when set up. I made them in my buddy's cabinet shop.

My parents used it when I was a kid. Every time I use them I think of all the good times we had camping.
Douglas - I LOVE this table!!! Do you happen to have instructions on how to construct it and where to find the parts? I would love to make something like this to replace our bulky dinette table and still be able to move it outside.

x5 for the GCI cook station. Got that thing before we got an RV and is still like new. Also love my GCI rocker and GCI 20 table for putting drinks and stuff on or washing dishes outside.

Considering gci. Is it sturdy enough to steadily hold the Weber Q 2200? Specs say 48 pounds capacity, but I'm not sure what the Weber weighs. I think it is 42 pounds. Is that cutting it too close. Sometimes cook two 4-pound chickens pn it.

The aluminum top will support 48 lbs. The side tables will support 30 lbs. The bottom rack will support 35 lbs. That is from GCI. I use either my old Coleman camp stove (green suitcase) with a heavy Lodge griddle on it, or my 25 lb stainless steel Pit Boss propane tabletop grill on it with good results.

I never realized one of those Weber Q grills was so heavy! You are right, the Weber is supposedly 42 lbs. Must be cast iron grates.

You can always get the grill stand for the Weber Q. We have ben using ours for several years. It's compact and light. We carry a folding table with us for food prep and serving. I also do not like to cook under the awning so I can keep my table covered and move the grill out from under it.

Thanks, guys, for your input. I have the Weber stand that you have to attach the 4 long legs to. May get the one that folds and has wheels.

That gci unit looks great but don't think I will put a 42-pound grill on it. Weight police (DH) would not be happy.

Maybe for times you need to cook more than 6 lbs of chicken at once you can just put it on the picnic table!

If I were looking for parts for a folding table Id first look at Rockler. They have all sorts of parts.

I do not believe you will find the same thing though, those look pretty proprietary to me.

To make the ones I copied all I needed was a length of 1/2 x 1/8 steel flat stock, two 1/4" carriage bolts and wing nuts plus 4 screws and one hook and eye set. the rest was all Maple Mahogany and cherry wood scraps and 1/4" plywood.

Anybody interested in the GCI cook station, I just got an email from Camping World, $69.99. That is a good price considering I got mine for 10 bucks less, but that was 4 years ago. I think it may be cheaper than that if you are a Good Sam member.

Subscribing. We pick up our wolf pup this Friday and want to start kitting it out. We have your run-of-the-mill coleman propane grill that I will need to measure. Also need to measure potential storage areas to see where it makes sense. Trying to decide if we want a camp kitchen or just a flat table. And do we want a more solid top (alum roll top) or a mesh top? I like the idea that the RedCamp table in a 2x4 with mesh top is only 9lbs!

Being that I started this thread, I guess it is time to update on what I finally found.

Just came out this year. Nice and sturdy and folds into a nice easy to carry case. I don't know if the Adventure Ready Combo will fit on the table yet, but as for doing prep work and staging, it works great. Picked it up last Saturday just in time for me to griddle up some Patty melts.

I bought that same table for our 17" Blackstone. Should be plenty wide enough for your 17" with the fryer. It's lightweight, easy to set up and sturdy. Ours have 2 hooks on each side for utensils. I tried to add a picture but it won't upload here at the campground.

Impressive piece of kit! Bulkier than my GCI, but looks great. One issue I've had with ALL cook stations I've seen, is they don't make any way to level them!!!! Why don't they make legs that can be adjusted for height?? I have yet to find a level spot at a campground to put the thing, and you all know how aggravating it it is to have oil/grease on a cook top griddle, pan, whatever, go all to one side, or sausages that roll to one side. Would be really nice if they considered this when building these things.

100% with you on that! One of the reasons I have been searching for a stiff table. Everything I find is flimsy or too flexible. The Blackstone is pretty solid, but can use levelers too. I plan to slip a few boards under all the legs though because it sits too low for my back. I will find out Friday if the griddle/fryer fits on the side table. It is in the trailer which is still at the dealer. It's been ready for a few weeks, but the drive I park it in was a soggy mess from the thaw, and the shoulders on the side across from the drive was too soft, the truck would sink into it. Been at the dealer for 4 months to replace the reefer. I bought a cover for it and have yet to take it out of the box.

Has anyone seen what Jayco does now with the Blackstone griddles? They are on slide outs now. Some trailers are coming with a 2" receiver on the side and there will be accessories that will plug in, like tables and such.

That is a great idea! And something fairly simple to make yourself if you have a welder. But perhaps you lose the multifunction of those items?? I would love to build something for my grill, but have a stand-alone table for food prep, playing games, etc...

I also saw on this thread the table that slides into brackets at the top of your under-belly storage. If that would work for my trailer, I think I would do that. Having the table use space that generally isn't used with easy access sounds like a win/win.
