Ford F150 ecoboost towing

Any of you that know of people that tow a fifth wheel using a F 150 with ecoboost ?? I am debating on a super cab 4x4 XLT , max trailer tow , tow mirrors 3 .73 rear end OR take the plunge and go with either a F250 or F350 with a 6,2 gas engine.. My fifth wheel is 7,700 lbs dry...

My best friend just bought an Ecoboost and pulls a 28-foot KZ fifth. But I think his dry weight is only about 7000#. But he does load up with cargo! And he is more than happy. He used to pull it with a one ton diesel ford! He switched because his pulling is only maybe 5% of his driving.
The only thing he mentioned is that he notices that the camper is behind him now, where the diesel couldn't have cared less. But nothing that bothers him at all. It seems Ford really boosted up the suspension in the Ecoboost, almost to 3/4 ton status. According to his feedback, I wouldn't be afraid to pull my Flagstaff with one.
And that seems to be the concensus from reports on the internet, the Ecoboost is a BEAST!

Thats about the amount of towing ( maybe a little more ) that i expect to do. Do you know if he has pulled in any mountains yet ??

First, there is a thread on the F150 Forums you should read.
The guy is using a 09 F150 w/5.4 to pull his 5th and a boat.

Second, wait for a 2012 F150. Ford is increasing the payload on Super Crew from 1900 lbs to over 2400lbs at 29% increase.

I was going to buy a 2011 EB to replace my F250, but decided to wait for the 2012 which you should be able to start ordering by the end of August.

My weights- dry 7200lbs. Wet ~8700lbs.

I am more interested in a super cab model... Its the 2 of us and a 10lb dog... But it would be worth waiting for a 20 12 model if the payload increases a lot...On the other hand .. If there are year end clearance sales..sometimes in the thousands of dollars in rebates and incentives.... plus my ford retiree discount....
