Hi
Does anyone have an idea where the sensor is located on the engine that turns on the dash MIL light. The error code is P0193, fuel rail pressure sensor "A" Circuit High. I have reset the light with my code reader but it comes back on in a short time.

My understanding is that the computer turns on the light on to alert you to a code. Your best bet is to research the code online to see if there is an easy fix or take it to a Ford dealer that is approved to work on RVs.

You could try checking on FTE website (Ford Truck Enthusiasts). Do a google search for Ford truck forums. A lot of Ford techs on that site daily, and they usually can answer questions about codes. There is a section devoted to the V-10, too.

You have a fuel rail, pipe, that goes around the top of the engine and feeds each injector. On the rail will be a pressure regulator, and a pressure sensor. There will also a be a tire valve for checking pressure. If you reset the light and it comes back on, you have a problem. Do you have a bad sensor, or a bad regulator? Check the vacuum line to the regulator, may be broken or have come off. You need a "fuel pressure gauge" to check the pressure with, not a tire gauge. You also need the specs. Most fuel pumps will do about about 90 psi, but the regulator holds around 40. If you take it in, make sure the light is on, makes finding the problem for the tech faster. Should be an hour or so labor plus parts.

Since it is an engine code, any good shop should be able to fix it. Your problem is not related to RV.

New cars do not fix themselves, you still have to know what is going on and what to check for each of the over 1000 possible codes.

Thanks for the information I will look for the vacuum line and check if it is attached or broken ( or eaten by a squirrel ).
Then I'll get a fuel pressure gauge and see what the actual pressure is.

Could you tell me if there is more than one pressure sensor?
My OBD specifically mentions sensor " A " circuit High. It almost makes it sound that there might be more than one.
