Forest River cargo trailers
I was looking at some cargo trailers recently and noticed that Forest River was the listed manufacturer. Has anyone ever noticed this before or have any reviews on them?

That's interesting I had never seen this but I am not surprised as big of a market that there now is for cargo trailers.

They've made them for a while. Our Emergency Management department has a large (27') utility trailer made by FR about 13 years ago.

In fact, FR manufacturers 9 different brands of Cargo Trailers!
If you are new to FR, as a company, read the Wikipedia page found here:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Forest_River_(company)
Some of the highlights include 86 different manufacturing plants, founded in 1996 by Peter Liegi, sold to multi-billionare Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway Inc in 2005, over 4 billion dollars in annual revenue, etc.

I believe FR has several trailer companies under their umbrella. When I bought my 2015 Dynamax DX3-37RB, I ordered a custom enclosed trailer from Rance Aluminum Trailers (who were a subsidiary of FR) What a MISTAKE, Rance botched the whole job and I got screwed. The folks at Dynamax who recommended Rance didn't want to know anything about the whole mess. Buy from ANYBODY else.

Also Berkshire Hathaway owns companies that make the stuff that goes into campers. They also own Clayton Homes and the bank that does the financing. Berkshire Hathaway is buying into Pilot/Flying J. About the only thing that’s left is buying Camping World. That way they would own everything from when a camper was built until the camper was sold to the customers. Warren could buy Camping World with just cash he has on hand. Wouldn’t you have loved to have brought a thousand shares when Berkshire Hathaway was twenty one dollars a share?

I have a CargoMate 12 foot enclosed trailer purchased in 2007. It is one of the Forest River owned brands and although less expensive than other brands like Haulmark is very well built. I’d go so far as to say it’s better built than most FR travel trailers. That’s not saying much because there’s not a lot that can get messed up building one of them.
It has about 12,000 trouble free miles and has been parked outside since new. Never leaks. I have put my Harley in it during the winter and after three months storage there was never a speck of dust to be seen.

Forest River also makes Park Model recreational homes and class C style buses.
