Forest river wildwood xlite 2018, hot water heater type?

First and foremost, this is my first rv.. I moved in 4 days ago, and this is like a foreign language.
The question tonight is how do I know if my hot water heater has electric or propane?
Trying to decide because this is the first time I've tried to heat it up to take a shower and while there was hot water the other day today there doesn't seem to be and my propane tanks don't have gauges on them and the locking mechanism above them is stuck so I can't pick them up to see if they feel empty or not. So no idea if my hot water heater is electric and something's wrong or propane and maybe I'm just out of propane.

Can you find the panel on the outside of the rig where the water heater is? It's usually a vented cover and can be easily removed. You should be able to see a propane line and it should have an on/off switch for the electric. That should tell you if you have propane and electric.

There should be a switch on the wall to turn on the water heater with propane. If it lights up when you turn it on and stays lit, then you may be out of propane.

You're plugged into a campground outlet? If you have electric and have water, it should heat automatically unless the electric element has burned out. If it was running on propane and that isn't working and the electric element was turned off or burned out, that could be possible.

It's also possible that the electric in the water heater is off or needs to be reset, but we'd need the make of the water heater to help further.

Welcome to the forum.

First, please provide the trailer's model number.
Second, open the WH outside access door and get make and model number of WH.
